just looking and found this on the virgin support forums.
We're aware that some of our customers are experiencing intermittent broadband connection issues on our network currently.
Our network team are currently investigating this at the highest priority.
Broadcast TV remains unaffected, however TiVo and other interactive services may be intermittent.
As this is a general network issue you don't need to call us to report it, we're already working to restore your service.
We'll update this announcement when we have more news.

Just a quick update, we have engineers on site currently dealing with this problem and we are starting to see an improvement already. We're going to continue working on this issue until services are completely restored.
