What are everyone's favourite co-op games? My brother's coming down tomorrow for a couple of weeks, and we're trying to find the best Vita co-op game for us to play while he's here. Preferrably, the game should have Ad-Hoc. Right now it's between two PSP games - MGS: Peace Walker and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. I know all of the games in Vita's library, but none of them seem to approach the level of these two. How is Dungeon Hunter: Alliance?

That's some real Don Mattrick logic, PoisoN_Facecam0.

You can't buy a Vita with an 8GB card for under $250 unless you found a good deal in a pawn shop. Even there, I'm not sure you'd get that price. The bundles all come with 4GB cards, so you'll have to go over if you want an 8GB card.

Maybe a bit of a grey area for me to say this, but in the hacking community, it was definitely observed that emulator framerates were very slightly improved when using the Vita. This is despite any increase in reported clock speed (333MHZ), but there definitely seems to be something slightly improved in the Vita's PSP hardware emulation.

I would say without a doubt that it looks better on the Vita's screen. I held the Vita alongside a couple of versions of the PSP (playing Killzone: Liberation), and the colours alone made all the difference. The bilinear filtering doesn't hurt, either.

It's tied to your account. It wouldn't be difficult to sell your account details along with your system, but I'm assuming that's something you want to keep.

I don't understand why Vita games like Uncharted don't come out more often...or at all...

Because there isn't a market for them. Clearly.

Well... Uncharted: Golden Abyss did sell nearly a million copies.

OP, Did you actually just imply that Spelunky is a short time-waster?

One, Sony would no longer benefit from access to an app market they no longer control. It might be nice for us, but it's a stupid move for Sony. 60% of the Vita's games are bought on PSN.

Two, Android developers don't have low-level access to the hardware the way Vita devs do. You're forced to use Google's provided libraries, and you can't tweak your game to the system's strengths. It might be easier to develop for, but we would definitely see a decrease in graphical performance and input response.

It wouldn't happen, though. Home consoles have a certain obligation to be multi-user, since they usually serve multiple members of a household. Sony won't offer account management for a portable system, since portables are typically used only by one person.

You know, Geminon, I would have definitely been up for a good discussion on whether games can be evaluated objectively or not, but you always seem to stoop down to disruptive personal attacks. You're just the kind of forum poster every message board doesn't want. You might be smart, you might have a couple of good ideas, but you're rude, and you have no apparent ability to explain your ideas to others.
