Why the hell would i ever want to play an FPS game with a frigging controller. I suppose it just depends on whether you grew up with aim assisted controller based Halo, or 100% skill based Counter Strike.
They are realeasing / have released SP3 for xp. But Microsoft seeing as how unpopular vista is among consumers and business consumers alike has extended support end date from Jan. 31, 2009 to April 14, 2009. So there is still hope Vista will be at least within the 5% margin of performance loss that i would deem acceptable. Oblivion works fine on nvidia cards, what modern game do you know of that only works on one graphics card brand.
I play decently on a 7800gt / amd64 4400x2, i only upgrade every 3 years and i only buy midrange products, otherwise i feel nerdy, and money spent on normal things = 10x better. ie. Ifr you ask random people (on the street) what a geforce card is, maybe 1 in 30 will have a clue
FPS In video games is very different in than in videos. Same concept just very different. Lots of info on the net about it, google. 30fps is unplayable for me in counterstrike. In WoW its acceptable. I can tell the difference between 60 - 85 fps, but only if im looking for it. 85 -100 cant tell the difference at all. Depends on whether you have vertical sync disabled, and also depends on if your using an LCD or a CRT. If your trying to compare videos that you watch to a video game FPS, sorry to be rude, but you dont know what your talking about.
