I'm also a southpaw, and couldn't find an option to set the stylus controls for left-handed play. So, I opted for the button controls. After playing through several chapters, I'm sadly disappointed with this game. It feels low-budget and rushed. If I had to guess, I'd say the problem lies with Gamecock. As a somewhat fledgling publisher, their budgets for developers are probably limited to the penny, and any expense over projection is probably a non-issue. It's a shame. I was really looking forward to this game, as I did with Dementium, and again, I'm left quite disappointed.

As cheap and trite as ripping off Ouendan / EBA in this way might seem, I'd actually be interested in this game were it not for the fact that the touch screen doesn't really seem to have anything going on other than the note markers. In EBA / Ouendan, you had the cheerleaders / agents directing you, along with other stuff happening, and it added so much excitement to everything else that was going on in those games.

This game looks like another uninspired knock-off; an excuse for a game that really has not excuse to be a game.

Definitely worth it for folks who enjoyed EBA or the first Ouendan. Ouendan 2 is a much more polished game, in my opinion -- great songs, too. I still don't understand a word of it, but it's not at all necessary.

I think the graphics are really good but I'm more concerned about the controls.TwilightSoilder

I'm not at all concerned about the game's controls. After playing both KHI & II, I see no problem with control on the DS. Likely we'll see movement with the D-pad; jumping, attacks and hotkeys on the face buttons; and camera control with the shoulder buttons, with various things done on the touch screen.

The DS's variety in genre is looking really one sided. There's too many RPG's on the DS. Once in a while, a good game comes out that's not an RPG. The rest of the games end up being crap. But for the most part, the hyped up games that're expected to score big are RPG's. I'm tired of it.

There will likely never be an end to this kind of thread, though no one can tell you whether or not you should buy a game. They could be wrong...

But this is another game I have reviewed (click on my profile to check out my reader review of the game), and I gave it a "9." But it's not a game for everyone, not by a long shot. It deserves a 9, in my opinion, because it's a great RPG. But it's very much an old-school RPG, with some new interface elements thrown in. So, if you're into monster collecting, experimentation and level grinding, yeah, this game is about as good as it gets on the DS. However, if you find traditional RPG gameplay -- especially of the Pokemon-collection type -- to be tedious and boring, this probably isn't the game for you.

Again, though, check out my review.

The WiFi interactivity is basically trading. You can buy and sell items you've collected or made in the single-player game, but it's not really necessary, since you end up with more stuff than you need anyway.

If you want to know more about the actual game, check out my profile. I did a reader review for it sometime back. I think the game's a little better than what most critics labeled it as, but not much. In any case, don't expect a console-style Tenchu game.

You're a little late to the party, but yeah. Demo download stations have been in retail outlets (Toys-r-us, EB Games and Gamestop) for a while now.

The game definitely looks really cool, and like you (from the impression I got), I don't own a PSP. That said, you have to expect first parties to put out the really good stuff -- it's what makes people want to buy their respective system. Nintendo is the same way, if not more agressive in that department.
