WooHooo....4th place!!!! We'll see how long that lasts though. :P I have a feeling that Twar is going to be getting some deals soon. He seems to have a good sniffer for that sort of thing. :)
On the other side of the coin, I am sorry that undergroundfrog is having so many system problems. :( Let's all hope that his system troubles are over.
@undergroundfrog: I have an extra Gamecube. If you want it, just give me a yell. :)

Hmmm... I dropped a spot? That just wont do... lol :P
I just got 19 more games today so I currently sit in 9th again (in my mind).. just not on the list until next month.
It's getting to the time of year where I start going on massive game buying sprees, so mayby I'll move up to 7th or 8th by the end of summer.
I really want to own entire collections of EVERY console, so maybe I should just break down and buy bulk lots of sports titles... hahaha
I've never done it beore but I am seriously considering buying large bulk lots on Ebay soon. Any advice? Good experiences, bad experiences?

I sense a fresh batch of NES carts coming your way.
As for advice, I abide by four basic rules:
1) Know eBay's rules for buyers AND sellers. For example........When you bid, you are entering into a contract so make sure that you can pay before you win the auction. Also, if an item isn't as described (ex. the games or system do not work), know that you can contact eBay and get your money back (though you will most likely have to pay to get it shipped back). There are other rules as well, but make sure you know them.
2) Ask questions. If the seller says that something is in "great condition", find out what that means to the seller. Never take anything for granted. Great condition to you may be a working game with a pristine label, no scratches, chipping, cracks, discoloration, ink markings, carved initials, or burn marks while the seller may just think that because it works that it is in "great condition". Make sure that you find out if the games have been tested. If not, does the seller allow returns? If the seller doesn't answer your questions before the auction ends, DO NOT BID. Make sure to give the seller time though. Two or three days is more than enough time.
3) Document everything. If I had a rule 5, it would read "See #3". This is very important. My advice....ctrl+A, ctrl+S, type in the auction title, and place it in a folder bearing the seller's eBay name (that you create of course). Also, make sure that you check the "Send a copy to my personal email address" box (just above the "Send" tab) when you correspond with the seller using the "Ask a question" option in the auction listing. Each email exchange should be saved in the corresponding seller's folder. Also, if you encounter a bad seller, make sure that you create a "Bad Sellers" folder and add his/her folder in as a subfolder for future reference.
4) Avoid getting into bidding wars. Set the price you are willing to pay and if it is exceeded, don't bid.
Extra advice......Make sure to get a PayPal account so that you are protected if a seller tries to cheat you.
If you would like to see the battery of questions I ask sellers to ensure that I am getting exactly what I expect, I can send you a PM with all of them or, if others are interested, I can post them here or in a seperate thread. These questions were the result of getting burned, so if I can help others, I would be glad to do so.
Also, if anyone is interested in my "Bad Sellers" list, I can also avail that info as well. If you know any of these sellers personally (which I find very unlikely), please don't burn KGKaiju dolls in effigy, go to your local riot supply store and buy up their torches and pitchforks, or use my likeness for target practice in an angry game of darts. I am just the messenger. :P
You might pass me again prehaps wit. :P Especially since this month, I've decided to invest in the game room with new bookshelves, shelfs, and reorganizing my game collection in general. Built 3 bookshelves in the last three days alone as well as put up two shelves on the wall. I'll post pics when I'm all done, but in short it's turning out real great. GAMECAMILLER
I need to do that as well. Even though I have put another video game stand together (need to update my pics in the collection thread), I doubt that will be enough. Wall shelves are definitely needed for my systems.
..and a good entertainment center really pays off! :) especially when it comes to multiple system hookups.
