Regrettably, the PC Police Squad will be by later though to kick your ***; for engaging in lame console like gaming behavior.

Quite likely none of the Devs has ever been shot at; let alone with a suppressed weapon [which is supposed to make it difficult for the targets to tell where it came from ]. I could fix that for them; before they make the next game. ;)

Good advice from all.

As soon as you get to the plane; pick off any attackers, heal yourself, then start setting up to defend, don't waste time fiddling with anything else. The baddies will come at you from the front (slightly to the left), nail them all with the Dishka. As soon as the last one drops, set up mines and C4 to your left and rear as that's where the next bunch will come from. Crouch behind the crates next to the airplane, and weave back and forth to pick off survivors of the mines and C4. There may be a third wave (don't recall exactly) before the heavies show up from the front left......dishka those pirate scum, and you're outta there! Don't mess around trying to loot bodies in between waves, get your explosives out, heal yourself if necessary, and load out from the stores on the crates next to the plane (think there's a big ammo box in front of one of the buildings to the left of the plane). Use lots of bad language (it always helps me). ;)

Signature weapons (already modded with suppressors, scopes, lg mags, etc) become available FOR PURCHASE (and they're very expensive) through a variety of achievements; not just acquiring releics. In the PC version of the game; press the escape key to bring up the main ingame menu, select handbook. The main page of the handbook lists all the various missions, relics, lost letters, etc there are, and how many you've accomplished/acquired.

Signature weapons are indicated by hollow white stars earned---(as in available for purchase) signature weapons are indicated by solid white stars. Anyway...............by looking at the main handbook page, you can see how many of a particular mission type, or loot/relic finds you need before you unlock a signature weapon for purchase.

My recommendation is to concentrate on the Trials of the Rakyat for two reasons. It's amongst the fewest things to do to make a signature weapon available for purchase, and the weapon is the ripper MG, a tricked out version of the MKG MG (which isn't available until after you make it to S. Island). The ripper eats pirates and mercs for breakfast.............it also eats a lot of MG ammo, which is amongst the most expensive to buy ($200/50rds). Good luck!

I agree with Ohaidre................it's about an 8. Basically it takes the best elements of FC and FC2, combines them, and leaves out the worst aspects (Trygens & the infamous respawning checkpoints) of them. Really a fun game. Here comes the "but"..................but, the Devs haven't been able to resist the urge to stick their hand up your *** and use you for a meat puppet at various key points in the game. While 90-95% of the game is sandbox orientated.........there are times when they take control of you away, and have your character do really stupid **** you wouldn't likely do on your own. Even worse...............that usually leads into a lengthy segment of them ceding character control back to you, then taking it back away, then giving it back; through lengthy story advancing segments. Definitely not as free form as say, Fallout New Vegas or Skyrim. Having said that..................I still think it's a solid 8.

Get it, and start creating some mayhem for those pirate scum!!

Yes, it has been there since it showed up. Looks like its impaled in my palm of my right hand. Zoomer30

OMG!! You should immediately seek medical attention! Almost always molotov impalement results in a serious (if not fatal) infection, and/or social ostracization by other Game Heros and NPCs. You weren't hanging out with Vlad the Impaler were you?

Sorry! Couldn't help myself! ;)

Which model are you running? I used to have an Alienware M17x when I was doing my post grad and it was awesome for gaming.

Gone back to the 'tower of power' now though.

Sorry about the late reply. It's a Sager 9370/Clevo P370; purchased through Xotic PC. I'd prefer a desk top (more power/capability for less money than any notebook), but due to my frequent employment over seas I need something I can pick up and fly with when the time comes. I'm very pleased with this notebook; it's the first of several DTRs I've owned that has components specifically built for note book use (as opposed to desktop components shoe horned into a large, thick, heavy, heat generating, and power consumptive beast). The 9370 is about 2/3 the weight of all the other high end 17" notebooks I've owned, rocks on late model games, and doesn't generate nearly the waste heat all the others did. I think Intel, Nvidia, and Clevo/Sager are onto something. :)

One of the first things I do in every game I buy is shut off the music. If I want to be in a musical............I'll join the local ******* County Bad Acting Company. You're right about the weather cycle though.
