Anyone of the several mod compilations on the above site will substantially change the gameplay of FC3. Look for a compilation that includes the neverland v.2 mod, which gives you the option of taking over conquered outposts, or not. Good luck!

The second half definitely isn't up to snuff with the first. What made it that way for me is a combination of the very weak, frequently nonsense main story, and the lock step plot progression.

Some of the story elements are just laughable, and in the end really take away from game immersion and bring on a bad case of the game ho hums for me.

We can buy all those guns, a WHOLE bunch of accessories to go with them, and ammo up the ying yang................."but" we have to kill and skin animals to acquire load bearing equipment (LBE). What???? There's some kind of nylon embargo the Rakyat store owners are subject to? **** off the UN did they? LOL!

Then there's the spy dude telling us he "had" an asset in place on S island, but hasn't had any contact with him in a long time. So we go to the S island, meet up with the asset, who admits he hasn't had contact with his handler in ages, no support from the agency, and presumably isn't getting paid for what? Weeks, months, longer? And he's still hanging out with the mercs, raping, looting, and pillaging under cover for all that time? Really??? Oh yea......................and we have to B & E a merc training facility, sneak by a whole truck load of mercs, to kill a n00b and steal his clothing so we can blend in with the mercs. LOL! Didn't we just spend the first half of the game NOT being dressed the same as the pirates, all of whom, shot at us on sight? Why do I have to blend in for the second half of the game??? While I'm on the topic..........................the whole point of Jason going to the S island is to whack the big guy. Who in their right mind wouldn't have smoked the guy at the first meeting, instead of blah, blah, blahing through that. Oops! There's that linear, scripted corridor **** again. And if you don't jump through that set of hoops (like all the previous main misson hoops) there goes any further game advancement. Open world? Not exactly.

I think it's a big improvement over FC2, but they really dropped the ball with the tightly scripted, cut scene over burden of the main story line. Beautiful game world, tons of possibilities for totally unique play throughs, and we all play the game EXACTLY the same way to get through the main story missions.

How great would it have been to have a several of storyline branches available? Choices you make REALLY affect the direction and outcome of the story. Access Vass' and Volkers' compounds how and when you like. Deal with them in the manner YOU choose; so what if that choice knocks out some subsequent mission possibilities? Accept Rakyat and Citra's help to the degree you want to, or not at all. Put off by the psuedo mystical BS of the "warrier's path" An alternative story path to that would have been marvelous. That's what an open world game should be about. Imagine FC 3 with a dozen or more really different endings, and the consequences of those endings for the different groups/factions.

Good game in the end; that missed greatness for want of a real open world story, and the branches that should have went with it.

When you get your second mision from Dennis (after the first radio tower), there should be four boars running around there; I always have a devil of a time getting more than three of them ( between Komodos running all over the place, and pirates showing up). There's a couple other places on N. Island but I forget exactly where. Next time I play, I'll check them out on the map, and try to remember to come back and edit this. Good luck!

Not that I'm aware of.

If you craft the fourth level ammo pouch, you'll have plenty of bullets; though that somewhat depends on how many holsters you have. The ACE is the best AR, the MKG and Ripper (signature MG) are tied for best MG, the Bison (or whatever it's called in game) is tied with the Shredder signature SMG, if you like the Z93 you need to check out the signature version of it, toss up for pistol, between the 44 Mag and 50 Deagle (I prefer the 44), and the signature .45 auto (pistol) is pretty nice too if stealth is a priority over power .

As the Rakyat will tell you, "You have all the bullets, no need to worry!" ;)

Yea, that's bull; not sure why they coded the enemy AI that way. The only real way to get ranged stealth kills is none of the other bad guys can be looking at the victim when you kill them. I pick off pirates/mercs constantly without alarming the others, ONLY if none of them are looking at the one I'm shooting. A more realistic response to an observed kill, would be some duck and cover, one or two run for the alarm, and the rest start shooting wildly in various directions.

Because most of the funny stuff they say would get banned in posts in a PG forum. ;)

What power head, never heard of it, or seen one in game?
