@chuckles471 @luther1321 Also let's consider the reviewer's ulterior motives. No offense, but the reviewer is trying "her" darnedest to identify with the female gender.
@Birth00 @petry05 @FighterforJC Video games have a lot more measurable qualities than art. There's the technical side of things that include visuals, audio and performance and gameplay mechanics, and there's the less technical and more artsy side of things like narrative style, story, pacing, etc. Scoring systems are as flawed as the games they attempt to put a value on, but they are reliable enough.
@petry05 A numerical scoring system is fair. It doesn't always paint the most accurate picture (like a Mayweather fight in which he wins every single round but doesn't leave a mark on his opponent's face), but it gives a good idea of the overall quality of the game.
@the_bi99man @FighterforJC Not talking about a new full fledged review for an old game, just a numerical score beside the current score of the new game.
Political correctness has everyone cowering over everything they say in public. Kudos to GTA V for dropping that nonsense and giving us freedom of speech and expression, even if it offends certain groups (I should know).
@Birth00 @FighterforJC More importantly, I think gamers shouldn't get hung up on the scores too much. 9/10 is fair even for a game that deserves a 10/10.
