@Chai_Tea That's actually one of the precise reasons why I loved it. Most games you play in environments that have gone to hell. Getting into the thick of things after shit already went down, so you're fighting amidst rubble.
A game like this, you're getting into it BEFORE shit has gone down, so it looks nice and business like. It's suppose to be set in a "Utopian" like future, where a government has given the illusion of being well-off, and where you are the cause for things starting to go awry.
The damage is done. I can't trust a company that was so gung-ho about this at one time. Who knows what policy and user-agreement changes they will make in the future? Not even gonna bother risking it.
@Kraken422 @Falconoffury I don't think console gamers generally believe this. I think they just generally don't know. I play on both console and PC, but when my friends who only play consoles ask why I prefer and typically only play FPS games on PC, I answer because the controls are more precise and I feel handicapped trying to play with an analog controller. This always confuses them as they have no idea what I'm talking about. The idea of even attempting to use a mouse and keyboard for games in general is a bewildering idea to them.
@luckygrump Because, as you just said, it was on the live stage, and they're now posting it up as an article? That's what they're doing with ALL the E3 information they gathered, so people who weren't tuned in can be in the know.
@djpetitte @focuspuller @ashyblood @Mendax2013 Exactly. I'll just be waiting. The only way I'm getting an X1 at this point is if someone gave it to me for free, and even then I'd only use it for games like this and nothing else (definitely not paying for XBL anymore).
Paying to play online is still baffling to me. We already paid for our hardware, and we already pay for our internet. This is the equivalent to Valve saying that you can still play single player games through their Steam service, but if you want to play any of them through multiplayer, you will have to start paying a Steam Advance fee for use of their servers.
The idea sounds insane, as it should. This is why if Valve ever enters the console market with their own hardware, things are going to get crazy heated. Considering it'll basically just be a low-priced PC for the living room, it will also be able to do everything the consoles can (Netflix, Hulu, Browsing) at no additional cost.
@JayQproductions It really does, but those slanted edges does put it ahead of the Xbox One design. I like that blue led down the divide as well.
It's unfortunate they both decided to go so much simpler this generation, but you know they're both going to have slimmer, nicer looking designs down the line.
