Can't wait to see what will actually be available for launch. Got a chance to play with the system over the weekend, and I'm feeling pretty confident in a preorder. I do this fully aware that it's main use will probably be to play older games or "just look pretty" while I'm waiting 9 months+ for the game that makes you say "That's what I've been waiting for!". This is a Nintendo system after all.

Here's your second time hearing someone call 300 dull in less than 12 hours: It was Dull!! But you are right, 40 minutes is an exaggeration, more like an hour. The South Park parody of it was spot on.

Notice that you didn't (or rather couldn't) put Sony's dual shock on your list? It came out after the original PS and had plenty of support.

You are right, most peripherals released after launch get little support, but you can't lump all of them together. Some were gimmicks (gameboy camera, N64 RAM), others were just lazy attempts to lengthen the life of a dying console (32x, Sega CD). Wii motion + was more of "fix" for something that should have been available at launch from the start.

Not even in the same ballpark for some of those items. Sega NEEDED the 6 button controller to compete with the SNES. Genesis may have had the better version of games, but the control sucked compared to the SNES. 64DD never made it out of Japan, and is more akin to the 32X.

@Morphine_OD I LOVE THAT LINE!!!! It's always funny to read someone say you can't afford something just because you don't think the product is worth the current price. If I wanted a $250 paper weight, I'd go buy one.

Played my DC copy last week, I hope this new version is just as good.

Digital sales included "full titles, downloadable content, subscription fees, mobile and social sales". Since you can only buy full titles and very little DLC in a physical package, the difference, while impressive, isn't that big of a deal.
