@Jestersmiles: I imagine that sticking the two together is a benefit to both. ComicVine has never been on this scale, but they are now getting some front page space on GameSpot which must up the numbers, even if it's not upping the numbers for ComicVine directly. GameSpot, on the other hand, is bringing a wider variety of content.

Seems like a pretty obvious win-win for GameSpot and the people who work at ComicVine (if not for ComicVine itself). I'm not going to fault them for trying to do something that someone else has done successfully. It's like judging somebody for not being the first one to breathe =) If you want to criticize HOW they are doing it, that's different, but criticizing them for doing something that's a no-brainer is silly. It would make more sense to criticize them for NOT doing it.

@eddieham13: Nah. They don't HAVE to leave (course they are free to if they want; that's their prerogative). They just need to understand that just because somebody is doing something without their consent, it doesn't mean that it's A) Bad or B) harming you in any way.

This site is visited by millions of people per day. We don't all share the same interests. Many of us share a lot of common interests though, and comic books is one of those interests that a lot of people that like games happen to share. That means that it makes sense to try to bring comic content to people who already visit this site, but it doesn't make sense to be upset because some people like things different than what you like.

@gokuss4z: They're just trying to get into what IGN has been doing for a long time now, and it's one of the things I like about IGN. They're just starting out, but they literally hired the guy at IGN who managed the TV and Movies parts of IGN. It's already improved quite a bit since he came on board.

@Spartan_418: pretty much agreed. For over 36 million people, PS VR would just be a plug-and-play additive experience. If you've had a PS4 for a little while now (There's still 20 million-ish people who have had it for a year), then you might not think it's that costly.

I'm saying PS VR comes out at $349

So basically, what we're saying is... Samuel L. Jackson is immortal?... Yeah, I can live with that =)

This get's especially trippy when you consider that he doesn't seem to appear in any of the "go to the movies" movies, but in Tarantino's real-verse.

Yes, the fact that the levels need more time is a minor thing to the fact that you want a "living" game. Considering the already present delay and the consistent cuts of content from the initial ship, me thinks that you're trying to not delay the game again but it won't be ready in time to ship.

Which makes me think it's going to be a hot mess when it's delivered, especially since we haven't really seen any of it.

@Bahamut50:I think that thinking about this as "monetizing" is the wrong way to think about it. I feel like we sometimes get carried away with where money goes in these situations. You could say the same thing about any game, just changing the actual words (monetizing excessive daydreaming, for instance).

Forget about the implications of this game in the medium. This game was almost certainly a coping mechanism for the parents, allowing them to pour their hearth ache into something constructive, while allowing them an emotional outlet. And for something that must have seemed, to them, to be pointlessly evil, I imagine that they feel like hopefully something good will come of it all, that the story of their children will be told.

That's a very good thing, and it's not something we should shy away from because someone might make money from it.

@saturatedbutter: Watters isn't in Marketing (last I checked), he's a writer and producer. He's not strictly editorial though I'm fairly certain he used to be, but he's never been part of marketing. There have been more than a few videos sponsored by various companies before. Just because they did one (and informed you) doesn't make them biased about other content they do about the same game.

Actually, strictly speaking, I'm fairly certain that Jess is in news, not editorial. I think...

@McStrongfast: Thanks for the perspective =) Sometimes forget that most normal people haven't sunk thousands of hours into the Final Fantasy series ;-)
