I know I'm a little behind the times, but I just heard the servers went down two months ago? This seems like an odd choice, didn't the game only come out last year? Why would Sony take the online down so soon after release?

I'm wondering if this has anything to do with Insomniac taking their new game exclusively to Xbox One. In a tweet, Insomniac said it wasn't their call to take them down, and it's really concerning to me that Sony is starting to take PS3 games offline. I still enjoy my Uncharted/TLoU online from time to time, not to mention I was thinking of picking up Ghosts for PS3 in the near future.

I'm planning to buy a PS4 later this year, but I don't want to feel strong-armed into doing so because all of my games are going offline. God forbid they do this to Dark Souls 2 within the next year, that would be a freaking atrocity.

Killzone 2 and 3 are the big ones. So was the Resistance series, but their servers are no longer running.

@Essian: there are still some players who haven't gotten a PS4 yet. If anything, Killzone 2 is the near-dead one.

Is KZ3 really still active? I figured it would have died when KZ4 came out on the PS3

Wow, maybe I'll pick up KZ3 then, I absolutely loved that game

Hi all,

are there any online competitive shooters for PS3 other than the two big hitters?

I've heard that Uncharted 3 is still active, and that's an option, but I was looking for something a little more traditional.

Any thoughts?

I saw that there is a special available for boosting any character to level 90 when you preorder Warlods of Draenor. 2 questions:

1) Is this still available? Would do this in heartbeat if so.

2) do you have to fully prepay to get the bonus, or is there just a minimum down-payment to receive it?

There are 2 classes I've always wanted to have a level 90 of but never had the patience to level. Wouldn't mind using this to get one of them.

I'm not sure how it can be a sequel to GoW3 unless they don't intend to use Locust.

Also, is this confirmed or just speculation? I'm not planning to buy an Xbox One, but if have confirmed GoW4 on it.... I may be screwed

EDIT: Nevermind, did some research. It's not being developed by Epic, will definitely wait for reviews before I even considering sinking money into an Xbox One for it.

I liked Judgment. Sure, it wasn't as Epic (no pun intended) as the previous 3 installments, but it offered decent gameplay and enough variety to justify the purchase (except for the season pass that I got suckered into - what a letdown).

I wish they would've added Horde mode back into the game. That was such a nice change from having to just play vs multiplayer in GoW 3. But, I guess they wanted to try something different and for the most part I had fun with it. My biggest gripe was the in-game audio. I was so sick of hearing "This will give us extra eyes!" every time Paduk threw out his GPS thingy. So annoying.

That pun was definitely intended, sir!

Does the whole game continue to play out in 15-20 minute, bite sized arena fights? I know I basically described the first three gears of war games, but at least they broke up the fighting with slower paced moments that complemented the action

Gotta say, I find this game to be a serious downgrade. I LOVED the first three gears games. I played 2 at least 6 or 7 times. But this is just so... arcade-y. Counting points for kills in single player? Making each area a small condensed arena for a specific firefight?

They took away so much of the oppressive atmosphere that made the Gears of War series. I gotta say, major let down.

dot Heroes... forget the full title, but it was a game developed in that 8-bit sprite style, but with polished graphics... it's hard to explain, but look it up. I found it for 8 bucks and bought it, complete steal, amazing game.
