Bunch of crap.

Even after reading all of those dream sequences, you found Kaim uninteresting?

I also thought the dream sequences really helped make the player despise Gongora.

Yeah it explained his present day attitude well, but it didn't do anything beyond that. Like I said, disk 1 and 2 I was really into it. Gongora actually seemed really interesting and unique, Kaim had a lot of potential, but by the time the game started wrapping up they just fell into these typical RPG roles and it got less exciting. They're not horrible characters, they're just not special, at least to me.

I will admit though, I thought they balanced the humor and drama so well in the game. Some of Jansen's comments kind of ruined certain scenes, but most of the time he said some truly great things that actually made me chuckle a bit. I really wish more games had that type of attitude and balance in the storytelling.

I really enjoyed LO up through about midway through disk 3, and started to lose interest from there to the end. I'm glad I played the game and I had fun with it, but I'd never play through it again. Most of the sidequests I finished with the thought of "thank God I don't have to go back there" (Temple of Enlightenment.)

I was really hoping it was going to end differently than it did, and that's probably why I kept plowing through. The problem is aside from Seth, Sed, Tolten, and Jansen none of the characters were really all that interesting. Gongora was just a generic villian that I ended up not caring about.

The fact that the New Game+ was a complete joke didn't help the replayability either. In contrast when I finished Mass Effect I was so pumped for another playthrough (not even because of a new character, new game+, or switching paragon/renegade), it was just such an amazing ride as far as storylines went and I was compelled to board it again.

This is the first generation that I've actually sold games. But I have only sold games that I would not finish. I have a lot of games from the past few generations that I personally do not like and couldn't care less if they were in my collection or not, this generation I figured I might as well put those unfun games towards something fun.

My problem is I'm way too "buy happy." I really need to hold off until price drops for iffy games, or start renting.

I'm pissed because I have class until 8pm, so I have to wait all day before I go to pick-up my copy.

I really have high hopes for this game, I'm kind of just shrugging off IGN's review since I didn't really view this as a GTA type game, I'm more interested in the Boss fights and things of that nature. I'm going to have to put Galaxy and Z&W on hold again.

You can only have twenty or so save slots per character, once you lose the "new save" feature, you just have to reuse one of your earlier saves. Once you start a new character you gain access to another 20 save slots. You can save countless times, you can only use a limited number of slots.

360:
Mass Effect - Almost finished with my second playthrough to unlock the final difficulty, and then finish up the last few achievements that are still locked. I love this game though.
Virtua Fighter 5 - I try to get an hour or so of practice in a night, which isn't a lot. I just have such a huge backlog of games, that I really want to finish those up before I get too devoted.

Wii:
Super Mario Galaxy - I'm only 30 stars in, and I've had it since release. It's pretty sad.

DS:
Hotel Dusk
Luminous Arc
Pokemon Pearl - I can never quit playing it.

I finally picked up this game along with the arcade stick since I really wanted a game I could invest a lot of time into, but I'm having some problems. This is really my first fighting game, I used to hate the genre for whatever reason, but this game seemed pretty fun.

I picked up Pai as my first character, everything seems to be clicking for the most part, but I guess I'm still a noob with all the really basic aspects of the game. Like what exactly does it mean to "charge"? Like her Souka Senpukyaku "6PK(can be charged)". I looked through the manual but maybe I skimmed over it. Is there like a decent online guide somewhere with all the terms and stuff? I'm hoping to pick up the actual walkthrough this weekend, so maybe that'll help out too.

I'm impressed with LO and NMH's scores. I actually enjoy games with lots of cutscenes; I'd take the cut scenes and boss fights in MGS over the sneaking around anyday, I probably would have even enjoyed Xenosaga more had the actual gameplay been removed.
