Maybe that wasn't a very accurate comment then. I quit about the time they added the merit ablilites, so of course everyone is going to focus on that. Glad to hear it's not as bad. Though getting with a 4 man static with friends wasn't too bad.

I can't really comment on WoW, so I'll give my pros/cons of FFXI.

I quit around the end of December, so maybe things have improved, maybe not. Around the time of quitting I was trying to level some lower jobs of mine (Lv30-40) jobs and had a hell of a time finding a group. Earlier posters are right, unless you have/or make a nice group of friends it's going to be very time consuming to get a group together and actually level up, since most people are spending their time meriting their Lv75 jobs now.

I loved sticking with FFXI though because many of the story archs were fantastic. I still feel like the Chains of Promathia story line was probably one of the best games I've played, crappy dungeons and being level capped sucked, but the boss fights and cut scenes were worth it.

I guess what i'm saying is this, if you can put in the large amount of time to make a solid group of friends (probably in your same experience range, or not) you'll have a much easier and more enjoyable time in the world.

I still have no idea why I missed out on the game during it's GC release.  At least it seems the controls actually worked well, and with that price, consider it already in my collection.

The game is exactly the same on PC, 360, and PS2.  The only difference is that the 360 has better graphics (as stated above), a larger draw distance (though it has no effect on the appearance of the monsters, those are the same), and achievements.

So get it for whatever machine you'd like to be hooked up to for hours at a time.

I've spent a lot more time playing FF3, once I beat NSMB I pretty much just shelved it.  It's just too easy.

Red Steel.  I wish I would have held off on Sonic too.  It's not that it's a horrible game, it's just I wish I had used the money on some DS games instead, and picked it up when it was cheaper, or just rented it.

Honestly, I can say I'm only really interested in It's a Wonderful World and Final Fantasy Tactics: The Lion War.  Mainly because I feel in love with the Wonderful World when I saw the video a while back, I loved the animation and it looks pretty fun.  And I've enjoyed the previous Tactics titles, and I'm really hurting for some PSP games...not a lot out for it that interest me.

I'd go with either Elebits, Rayman, Sonic, or Excite Truck.

Yeah, I'm still enjoying Sonic and some VC games.  Finally going to pick up Elebits soon, too.
