As you may have known, there is alot of people complaining and whining because of that review score and some other crap. Like every game review that was released on this site, there is always a negative thread about it, even if the review got a great score(I just saw one for Oblivion for the PS3 and other games that scored a 8+). I'm just confused why are you complaining over a great score and saying ridculous things like "why is Oblivion for the PS3 lower than the 360 version", "a 8.7? i knew it will flop" and other absurd and ridculous things. And the bias thing has to stop, like i don't get you people, why are you assuming that gs is bias? Also, why are you people, saying that gs is owned by MS, if its owned by MS or bias, then all the games that are not for the 360 and other Microsoft systems, will get a lower score. Also, why are you hating gs for, when they give hand out prizes, tournments, live shows and other awesome video content, like do you see other publications doing this no!

Just remember, the playstation 3 and the Wii hasn't even touched a year yet.

I can't believe, I'm surrounded by morons! Stop whining and grow up! Its not a fair score, does it say fair no, it got a 9.5 which is a editor's choice. Why are you people saying that they are owned by MS or some ridculous thing.

While I sent you this question for Hotspot, it seemed like it wasn't as important as "how to move your channels around in Wii" questions....

so I'll submit it here and see how it goes

"Subject: Downloadable Content Question

With games like Motorstorm getting decently low reviews from you, and when their whole strategy is to keep the life cycle of the game going by adding some downloadable content, will you consider possibly changing your reviewing structure to update it while downloadable content comes out, or even adding new reviews reviewing just the downloadable content itself, saying whether it's worth the money or not?

This will help the customer decide whether or not to download the content(even though it should be in the game in the first place, MOTORSTORM!)

Thanks. "

I don't think a 7.9 is a bad score, they said it themselves, its a good game. I would be a pain if they update their reviews when a upcoming patch comes out. A patch is either to redissolve glitches, bugs and a bit of extras that aren't neccessarily to make a review that is already in the site.

On the Indie-velopment page I was looking for a forum for it. I have had to go through the other forums and I was looking for Indie-velopment forum not gamespot live as I would have thought GameSpot live is only On the Spot.

There should be a link to the Indie-velopment forum on the Indie-velopment page.

Edit: What would be even better is on the forums have a description of what the discussions are about. Some are obvious from the title but some aren't.

Heres a quote from the Welcome the Gamespot Live Forum:

Hello everybody, and welcome to an exciting episode, er, to an exciting forum for GameSpot Live!

This is the place to talk about anything and everything related to video content on GameSpot.  From your favorite video review, or interview, or shiny new trailer, to our HD content found both on the site and on TV, to our feature programs like On the Spot, Button Mashing, The Last Word, and Tournament TV.... this is the place to share your thoughts with fellow viewers, offer feedback to us at GameSpot, and more!

Indie-velopment is a feature in Gamespot, not a stand alone event that requires a forum like E3, GDC and etc.

Um, I don't know what you are talking about, every forum has a thread describing it.

I think it should be the other way around were Gamespot users review the reviews of Gamespot employees,Saying if they were biased or didnt get something right.

I know allot of people have been complaining of Gamespot being biased to Sony and Playstation so this would be a good way to help people know if other users agree with their reviews

anman4707

those users don't even know what biased means, why the heck do you want that and they are not biased come on! if they implemented that feature in the reviews of Gamespot, then alot of people will disagree with all the reviews because for a ridculous reason. Well, those people are very immature and don't know what are they saying.

Have you tried reuninstalling your flash or updating it? I personally think downloable user videos are bad because people will soon start plagerising other people's hard work, and I really hate the fact that people post gamespot videos on youtube. Like for example, someone before posted some video blog about anticipated games and some other person downloaded there video and posted on some other site where they insult the person about his topic and etc. What I'm saying is, this idea is will cause plaguerism from other's people work.

I'm going to let jeff do the talking:

"

Much like sports fans that get so into it that they refer to their favorite team as "we," fans of game consoles should probably take a step back, calm down, and realize that every console, regardless of the games and the business behind them, is run by a corporation that wants one thing: your money. This sort of brand loyalty and needless bickering is just a waste of everyone's time, and the console makers are laughing all the way to the bank. So I advise everyone caught in that trap to look beyond the systems they, personally, own, and maybe think about the big picture for a change.

If you think that any of the three current console systems are "perfect," then you're glossing over some very real problems. All we did is point out some of the things that the PS3 (which has been steadily improving) should do to get to the next level. Are you going to sit there and tell me that the lack of an invite system that works across all games is a good thing? Or that it's "no big deal" that a system that costs one to two hundred dollars more than its cloesest competition is putting out games that don't look as good as those of the other console? Xbox 360s are breaking left and right, and the concept of post-release patches is in full swing, meaning developers are starting ship broken games. And the Wii? Well, I'm dying to play Super Paper Mario, but friend codes for online games? Seriously? Especially game-specific ones? A bad idea just waiting to ship in a English-speaking territory near you.

The PS3 is on its way to solving most, if not all of its issues. And it'll get there sooner or later. As a PS3 owner, I'd rather see Sony focus on fixing the stuff we mentioned and let the big, crazy avatar cyberworld thing simmer until then, but hey, they're a big company, they can probably do both simultaneously. As they say, only time will tell.

Just remember... around this time last year, we were also telling people that they probably don't want a 360 yet. The PS3 is young. It'll get where it needs to get to. "
