The real problem with all this stuff is the people who continue to buy these DLC packages after they just paid full price for the CD. I have never bought any DLC for any game I own. I have bought a few complete editions when I didn't buy the initial release of the game to get all the DLC on one CD and I have no problem with that. I refuse to pay more for a game I already paid full price on. it just doesnt make sense... So, if everyone stopped buying the games for full price on day one and then spending even more money on DLC the next day or a few weeks after, the industry would start to think twice about doing this practice.

[QUOTE="colibriosis"]Do you really think they'd mass-produce such a popular product knowing the Blu-Ray laser is less functional? Stupid.HybridPhoenix
It's not a matter of the laser being less functional, just exposed. Which wouldn't be an issue to anyone who can take care of things properly. My issue is that because it's more exposed, the drive is a lot louder.

Trust me, if you have a fat PS3 and you know what that fan sounds like, the sound of a super slim's drive is whisper quiet comparatively speaking...

[QUOTE="Davyvfr"] 160GB Slim retails for $250 in North America. Super Slim is around $260-$300.HybridPhoenix

I haven't seen any Super Slims in NA region and I live in Toronto. I don't believe Super Slim PS3 is available in North America but only in Europe at the moment.

Also, 160GB PS3 are discontinued for quite some time now, if he can find one, sure but the price is still too steep compare to Super Slim.

They are...they have them in New Brunswick, CA so there's no way they don't have them in Ontario. They have it bundled with Uncharted 3 GOTY

I live in Toronto and got one. But from what I understood, most stores only got a few of them and they sold pretty quickly. So either call around or wait until your local one gets new stock.

I've heard very little about the auto disc loader and if it messes up it's incredibly easy to fix if you're not skidish about opening up your ps3. The exposed blu ray drive and lens personally frightens me. HybridPhoenix

atleast I'm guessing its the auto disc loader. all I know is as the disc is being inserted it makes noise and the noise will go on for about 2-3 stop and the disc isn't being read. I've been reduced to digital gaming only. and whats this about exposing the blu ray lens

Hmm, well that's unfortunate. Doesn't sound like the loader though, sounds like the reader. Will it play DVDs? If so, it's the blu ray reader. If not, you probably just need to reset the disc drive. On the super slims, I mean. The blu ray lens is exposed every time you open it.

But what are you doing when you open it other then taking out a game and putting in another. It's not like your sneezing into it or shaving your beard off over it while its open. Like anything, if your careful with it, I'm sure it will be fine. I myself never owned a slim. I had a fat one which died a few months ago and then I bought a super slim. I don't regret it one bit. The size alone is unbeleivable compared to the slim. As for the disc loading door, as cheap and tacky as it looks, it's actually a pretty solid piece of plastic. When you open it with the button, it slides nicely and uniformly. As long as your not changing discs every 5 minutes, I see no reason to beleive its going to break any time soon. But thats just me.

^^ Yeah, becuase the benchmark for anything is the "drop it out of a window test"... The super slim is nice, the blu-ray drive is a little louder since it's not as covered as the slim, but it feels like it runs alot cooler to me. Also, you can't argue with the size of it. It's unbeleivable how small it is compared to the fat and even the slim. If you have a lack of space or want more space for your system to breath, the super slim gives you both if your putting it in the same spot as your old fat PS3.

It's not that it had repetative missions, it's that the story and characters sucked. I bought it when it came out, got sick of it really fast and traded it in as soon as I beat it and haven't looked back. I found my new favourite open world GTA type game and it's called Saints Row 3. Much more fun and enjoyable. A little over the top, but I had a heck of alot more fun playing Saint Row than I did GTA IV. Hell, I'm on my 3rd playthrough.

There could be a problem with the motor that loads the disc. If it is slower on one side or caught in some way, it could explain why the disc may not be loading in properly. Just to clarify, this happens at all times, no matter how the system is sitting but if you put it on a small angle once the disc is in it will catch and start working?

So for the last month and a bit, every time I log in to gamespot I have updates every so often about the games I am following and the such in my feed. Normally, it is something new, but for the past month I get the ! saying there is a new update and it shows however many there may be when I mouse over my name on the top right of the page, but when I go to my feed page on Fuse it shows the same stories that have been there for the last while. I have had a Borderlands 2 story about claptrap that was posted 4 weeks ago at the top of my feed profile while I am following many other games that I know have had updated stories and info since then.

I checked my settings and can't seem to find anything that may be causing this so is it possibly a site bug? I remember seeing a while ago some thing on the fuse page that it was going down and coming back up after however long, maybe something went wrong with my account there.
