Destructoid gave the game a perfect 10/10, saying "with the addition of control options to the already proven formula, Retro Studios' rendition of Donkey Kong is pretty much flawless."[14]GamesRadar gave the game 4 out of 5 stars, praising its PRESENTATION and challenge whilst criticising the co-operative multiplayer.[16]GameTrailers gave the game a 9.1/10, praising its IMPROVEMENT to GAMEPLAY and FEATURES.[19]IGN gave the game a 9/10, PRAISING the game's challenge, LEVEL DESIGN, and boss battles.[20]GameSpot was far more critical and gave the game a 6/10, saying that interesting boss battles and vehicle segments didn't make up for clunky, REPETITIVE LEVEL DESIGN and POOR implementation of new MECHANICS.[17
@Jestersmiles @Dark_Mits @TheLeftHandDoom @Mugzippit It is. Look what has happened to Tekken, Street Fighter, Marvel, DOA. They have to go through lots of updates and patches because of glitches and ridiculous unbalances that occurred. Then they have mechanics, clones and less features. They only have an un-engaging arcade mode, a versus mode, and that's it. Smash Bros on the other hand has story mode, a regular "arcade" mode, multiple modes for single player and co-op a very customizable multiplayer mode, create a stage mode, unlockable characters (play playing the game, NOT DLC) and more. They even had demos of classic games in Brawl. Yeah...can Cacpom do that in a fighting game?
A company admitting their mistakes, but still willing to make up for that by focusing on the customers? If only many other certain companies have the same idea. And this is about Nintendo...so the troll train should be arriving quite soon. -____-
