Well, no s***. If the flashlight issue was a major complaint with gamers and reviewers, I'd find it odd if they didn't want to fix it (which if I remember correctly, they somewhat tried with that flashlight mounted pistol in RoE). Some may be okay with it (I didn't mind it whatsoever) but if a majority of people disliked it, only an idiot would ignore those complaints and remain stubborn. Then you'd have raging nerds blowing up the forums with not-so-nice things to say on it. Yeah...kind of like mine >_>
Sometimes I feel bad for reviewers...some get to play awesome games like Battlefield 3 or Skyrim and share their experiences. Then some have to trudge through crap and describe what going to hell would feel like :P.
Holy hell, how did I know that just by looking at a PS3 game, and seeing a low score, I already knew by default that it must've been reviewed by McShea :P. I already know by reading some of the comments that it's not that bad, but I guess I'll never know...I mean, I had no intention of buying this game. I merely came here to troll :P.
I'm actually more interested in the fact that this game will be on it. Part of what I found unappealing about the Wii was its lack of third-party games. So far the Wii U is looking good for two reasons: potential third-party support (who knows, maybe it could be equal with the Playstation and Xbox) and having an actual controller this time.
I'm totally not surprised by this. I mean, I remember reading a preview about this in Game Informer, and it already didn't look interesting (although it did look like a 5.0 game at least :P).
And it could probably exceed that. GTA games are like crack: everyone needs their fix :P. Hopefully a PC port won't take ridiculously long as GTA IV did, though (but I do have some hope...at least Max Payne 3 releases only a couple weeks after consoles :P).
I never understood how a company that's maintained WoW all these years are struggling with these kinds of issues on a much smaller game :?. I mean, I don't expect any gaming company to be omniscient because s**** does happen occasionally, but if you're making a game required to be online all the time, you should see it as having potential issues just as hundreds of online games have had for years. Kind of reminds me of Ubisoft's god-awful DRM, just not on that bad a scale (at least Diablo 3 is actually playable for me :P).
I've played it on the PS3 and again on PC, and I still had a blast both times. Although I'll admit that the screen implying you wiggle the C key left and right is odd (and obviously a lazy port) and some glitches I haven't seen on the PS3 (like having the sound randomly cut off at times) is unacceptable. Honestly though, I didn't have a problem with the low ammo on weapons since I tend to kung-fu zombies and save my guns for bigger enemies, and the cover system is bearable (I still wish I had a button dedicated to it, but I had no problems with it). Eh, to each his own. They're all valid complaints that I do agree with, I guess it just doesn't bother me that much :P. That, and I'm assuming an update will fix these problems. Eventually.
I'd say the DNF was pure nostalgia...I mean, hell I bought DNF despite the ratings because I've been a longtime fan :P. Trust me, if people love a franchise enough, they'll buy it regardless of ratings (like I did with RE: Operation Raccoon City...which seriously, is not that bad a game) :P.
