I don't agree with people who say that suicide is the cowards way out. Sometimes that is true of course (like 14 year olds with identity crisis), but not always. And of course they don't go to heaven; no one does, as it doesn't exist.

I am a supporter of assisted suicide as well. I find it completely confusing how people think that life, no matter how painful, humiliating and exhausting, is better than death. If I was diagnosed with a disease that entails a extremely painful death with no chance of survival, why would I spend 6 months (or whatever) in agony instead of just ending it?

That is subjective to the person.

Yeeeah... not it's not. Everyone in the CS community agrees that CS:S is easier to play and just different in an easier way. I just never got used to it. Have you played enough CS to appreciate the differences? The spray-and-pray approach would get you murdered in 1.6. In CS:S, it's the norm.

Don't generalize the CS community on your stuck up opinion.

If CSS is all that bad, why did so much of the CS community move to it?

I have never noticed a difference in guns.

The crosshairs are the only difference.

Read my posts. People enjoyed the new graphics, plus the ever-present "new is better" mentality.

And if you never noticed a difference in the guns then, I'm sorry, you either haven't played either enough or you're not a very, hmm... observant?... FPS player.

Why do you think CS:S players refer to the deagle as the mini-AMP? it's a very different game.

If everyone in the CS community would agree with your personal opinion then CS 1.6 would still have 30-40% more players than CS:S, but...what is this, it's losing players slowly, it lost tenths of thousands in the last years, they all went to Source and now they're both equal.

Because people want pretty graphics and always assume that new is better. And how long did pre-CS:S Counter Strike survive again? Oh yeah, loads of years, and it's still going. I think (and hope) that this new CS will be great so that both 1.6 and Source players will enjoy it. CS:S split the community up, which was really bad :(

As a matter of fact I've been playing CS for many years. I also played CS: Condition Zero back in the day.....meh. CS:S is a good game in my mind, but then again that's my opinion just like everything you said above is "Your" opinion.

You are right, and I respect your opinion.

But, since you have played both: in which game is it easier and more forgiving to shoot horribly: 1.6 or CS:S?

How so?

1.6 was the chess of shooters. CS:S is... well, not :(

I was hoping for either this, or for the CS community to play 1.6 again. CS:S is an embarrasment and a horrible game.

Well, for one, PC gamers are real gamers. People who play console are... well, let's just say that you're not a racerar driver just because you own a cheap car.

Other than that: the communities are better; you can tweak games (mods etc), you can browse while playing, games look better, run better, feel better. Controls wont give you suicide thoughts, games are cheaper (correct me if I am wrong), and, uh... many more reasons. Except for party gaming with Guitar Hero or Sing Star or whatever, console gaming is horrible. People who play games like BF and MW seriously on a console make me laugh.

FelipeInside

What a total amount of BS in one sentence. Just because you own a PC doesn't make you a more "real" gamer than someone who owns a console.

No, your sentences make ME laugh...

I didn't say it has to do with the platform. My point was that console gamers are bad gamers, and it's funny when they take online games seriously because every PC gamer with Downs would kick their face in if they played vs. each other.

btw, where are all the console eSports events? oh, right... crap platform is crap
