@khanwashere: Does it even matter if the "new/used economy" disappears? The PC hasn't had a used market for years, and yet PC gaming is now cheaper than ever due the the competition resulting from how easy it is to publish games nowadays. The only real difference that I could see with console games is that the console companies tend to restrict what games can be licensed on their systems, thereby artificially restricting the supply of games and lowering competition. If the console companies made it easier to publish digital games on their systems, I would anticipate things heading in the same direction as the PC market, making that a win for gamers everywhere.
This is just the beginning of Gamestop's inevitable demise. The only thing that Gamestop has really ever been good at is getting pre-ordered games on day 1. On all other fronts they are downright uncompetitive. Since I stopped being a console peasants several years ago, I really have had no need to ever shop at a Gamestop again. Heck, even if you still are a console peasant, there still isn't much reason to walk into a Gamestop. A few weeks ago I walked into a Gamespot just to see what was in there. Half the store was filled with children's toys! What happened to the GAMES in GAMEstop?
@Pyrosa: If developers don't like people reselling their games, perhaps they should put more effort into making great games that people don't wish to resell.
@livedreamplay: I already told you I miscounted, and I changed my post to reflect the actual number. Need I remind you that you miscounted a number as well in your own posts? (Which you did not even go back and correct, I might add.) Everyone miscounts things sometimes, but you can't handle the fact that I called you out on your blatant dishonesty when you said you would leave and then didn't, and are now seeking to create a distraction from that with other things like petty number miscounts even though you did the exact same thing.

Regardless the number of times you changed your mind is not 3. You said you were going to stop posting the first time, and then you changed your mind and posted another post. Then you changed your mind again and said you would stop posting a second time (YES, saying "this isn't worth my time" counts.) Then you changed your mind again and posted yet again. Then you changed your mind yet again and said you would stop posting a third time. And then you changed your mind yet again and posted 28 more times by my count. That brings it to a total of five times.

And, once again, stop conflating interpretation with lying/exaggeration/etc. Any rational person would interpret "I have better things to do" as another way of saying "I'm done here and moving on to something better" i.e. "backing out," but for some reason you just don't get it.

Even if you did change your mind (a dubious claim at best), you still gave your word that you would leave more than one time, and thus not doing so makes you dishonest.

If you were a person of your word, you would have left this discussion when you said you would, but you are not a person of your word, and so here you still are.
