Memories Of Ice by Steven Erikson. Very very good series once you get into it, but I always find it a bit of a chore to get into each new book, because there is just so much to keep track of and the author has a tendency not to give much in the way of a refresher in what happened in the past...which is both a good thing and a bad thing I suppose.
The Ipod cIassic is basically the best dedicated MP3 player around (in terms of price/storage capacity, its out performed sound quality wise, but it isn't like it is awful)
And the Ipod touch is, I think, easily the best multi-function MP3 player around.
I wouldn't really recomend any of the other models though...
