Im actually sick after reading many of these comments. Both too overpraising and too over-bashing.
The game might deserve a 9 but the "good" listed there rely is a big lie, or at-least not very honest and true. While indeed the land of Boston is a nice place to see and explore(if you get past the possible frame drop), most characters you meet rely aren't that outstanding and well written(sorry but New Vegas got it right). The combat may indeed be the strongest point of the game and likely the most redeeming value, it still has its annoying quirks, and due to that the game had to sacrifice a major part of the RPG element and made the game more of a shooter.
There have been hardly any decisions which impacted the story, yes you do take sides at one point, but the story is still mostly railroaded and linear(and i blame the MassEffect-ification of the game for giving us a voice protagonist and automatically limiting our characters choices and personality) .
"A huge number of quests and rewards" Sorry but i feel like that is one massive a$$ lie, yes there are technically infinite quests, but they are so repetitive and dull (go there, kill everything, fetch that, gj heres 100 caps).
"Intuitive creation tools" I enjoyed the settlement building indeed, and also the modding of Weapons(could have used more variety but ill let this one pass)
"Thought-provoking narrative" I recommend playing Fallout New Vegas, preferably going fro multiple playtroughs and respectively endings(and also the DLC's) and tell me then whats Thought Provoking.
Im not gonna ask the reviewer to change the score, im just pointing out some holes in the review for giving the game a bit too high score for many of its problems and not very redeeming values. (PS i played for 40+ hours and still playing but the game is still just an 8 in my book)
It was actually fun i admit (cept for Sulust, that map/game mode is rely crappy). However my only complaint is the power pick ups, they just feel stupid when it came to Vehicles, one side gets air superiority and you cant do a damn unless you reach the fighter pick up, oh whats that? there's 12 imperial camping that entrance where that pick up is ? lovely !.
I don't see the point in making a bigger world which is either empty or filled with repetitive content. Id prefer large but not oversized areas which i know if i go to that corner of the area or fro that pathway ill find something awesome.
From the gameplay video i rely can't tell how "good" it rely looks, still this this doesn't seam like it supports the notion that the game needs 8 Gb Ram for Min and 16 for Recomended.
