[QUOTE="DragonRebel0908"]

[QUOTE="Bluestorm-Kalas"] And in most of those bands' songs, there isn't a whole lot of Satanic lyrics in them.WushuFighter

Well the songs "Jump In the Fire" by Metallica, "Black Sabbath" by Black Sabbath, and "The Number of the Beast" by Iron Maiden are directly addressing Satan.

Doesn't mean that they promote "satain". The Number Of The Beast is about a dream that Steve Harris had. And I'm pretty sure Steve is christian as well.

bands like deicide and slayer and vital remains and alot of norweigen black metal are the bands that directly attack religions, slayer is probably the most noted of them however because they have attacked religion with their lyrics even though the vocalist Tom Araya is a catholic, Alice Cooper who was accused of satanism is also a christian, however Glen Benton from Deicide and Vital Remains says he is a full on satanist and whilst i enjoy his music i don't agree with his values. i am not religious however but even if i was i would probably enjoy metal all the same

It's becoming unnecessary. Nowadays developers think they can make a game more enjoyable by increasing the violence factor. Clearly, they're misguided.

For all the people who deny the media influence on children's mind, you are just as blind as Ray.

Rekunta

Aren't you the same guy that made a thread about video game violence but clearly didn't know that there are far more sales in E, T and E10+ region than M?

And since when does the media influence children? I don't know any child that's interested in watching the news. I only know of parents who watch the news and then spread the bogus idea of video games being a violent 'gateway drug' even further.

Of course the media influences children, what are you talking about? If it didn't parental guidance wouldn't be needed. Heck, ADULTS get influenced by the media everyday, the only difference is they hopefully know better than a child.

there have been many accounts of children being influenced by voilence and the media and everything, there was that incident where two children watched one of the chuckie movies (you know the ones with that doll who has the soul of a serial killer) and then they went and got a young boy and threw bricks at him and killed him because they saw chuckie do it in the movie, also there was the time when a little girl was killed by a young boy doing wrestling moves on her that he saw on wwf and wwe. i have listened to death metal since i was 13 and some of my album covers plus the song titles have got to do with horrific death and mutilation and vivisection and all these incredibly brutal things but they have never made me do anything like that to anybody else, people who are mentally ill or have another condition can be influenced by media that they see and it can be a problem but to the general population watching violent movies or playing violent games or listening to violent music isnt going to make people go out and to horrific things
