I finally caught up on my Breaking Bad. Now I'm stuck wondering how they're going to end the series. Of course I'll never know until it shows up on tv, but now I'm thinking of how I would like to see it end, and was also wondering what other fans of the show would like to see for the final episode.
What I want to see happen: I'm already convinced things will not end well for Walter. So I'm fully expecting a tragic ending of some sort. I think a great shocker would be if Jesse wound up being the one to kill Walter. It doesn't really matter how, or what the circumstances are. If the ending came down to that, it would be a fitting conclusion to this beyond epic journey. I'd hate to see Hank be the "hero." He wins too much.
What I hope DOES NOT happen: IMO the worst possible ending for the show would be that Walter is captured alive and taken to jail. It wouldn't be a sufficient punishment for his crimes, and would feel too open-ended. Plus, that would most likely mean Hank took him down. I'm not cool with that. Besides, I think the minds behind the show are way smarter than going with a vanilla ending like this.
So how do you think it should end? And/or, how do you think it shouldn't?
If you're going to go into plot details, please don't forget to give a spoiler warning for anyone who may not be all caught up.
