The thing is people are mentioning that COD:MW 2 is 5-10 hours but thats because people buy COD for multiplayer replay value, with Metro 2033 I'll expect at least 15 hours of game time or I'll be disappointed. Bioshock took me 22 hours probably seems alot of you are run and gunners, with Mass Effect 2 I've played 40 hours so far and I'm still not finished it got alot more exploring to do yet.Mr_Illusive

I did everything and I mean everything on my playthrough of ME2. I have over 150k of each resource left over and I talked to everyone, have done every sub-quest, and am just finishing up the chats with everyone and I have only done 41 hours on it.

Doing over that is just messing around and stupid. I'd say 30-35 hours would be the normal for most people. If someone has more than 45+ hours invested in Mass Effect 2, then they're doing something unneeded.

Is the mercenary guy in that city, where Aria is? (just asking because I just finished both missions from there)SaltyMeatballs

Yeah, he should be right at the beginning of Omega, it's pretty simple to get him in to your squad. Won't say much more, but once you have it downloaded, you should only have to dock and take a few steps forward in to the City.

It's super annoyingly tedious. I wish they'd have made it more quicker, maybe added more concentrated areas or made an upgraded system where it shows you exactly the position of the minerals for a few credits + Platinum or something.

But, instead I have scanned about 20+ planets so far and have only about 60k of each to show for it. So, I think I'm doing something wrong... but, eh. It's not that great.

I enjoy the new clips, it is a nice addition and I no longer have to worry about all of the different upgrades and weaponry. I don't like that you can't sell your equipment for credits, because that was my main money maker in the first. I believe I had over 1.8 million in the first ME from just selling.

Makes it tougher.

does anyone know when this me2 embargo ends?

joshallrad33

Who cares? This game is going to be a great game that has pretty much fixed everything wrong with the last one - better textural design, better playing experience, the improved dialouge wheel, the new improved sub-missions.

It is going to be a 9 - 9.5 any way you cut it.

Hack and Slash games bore the hell out of me. So, I'll be staying away from this. The only hack and slash game I can stand remotely is God Of War and I might try Dante's Inferno, but that's about it.

From what I'm hearing and due to the fact that unless you pay copious amounts of money, you're not going to get a 10, a la GTA IV.

I'd say that it'll get a 9.5

It was perfect just being a stand-alone game, they're cashing in and it's a cheap tactic.

I probably won't be buying this one. Renting it, sure.

The more I read up about Mass Effect 2, the less I am worried and the more excited I get. They've seemingly fixed every single bad thing about the previous game and because there wasn't much wrong with the last game, they also were able to add a bunch of new things. From more quests to expansive story lines to the ability to search worlds with even more depth and the attention to detail they gave this one... I really can't wait any more. At first I was wondering why everyone loved the first, but the second is looking to be the best game of the first quarter.

Then we have Bioshock. The first one was awesome, but unlike Mass Effect 2, the more I read up about it; the more I get afraid. I mean, they are really toying around with the story a lot and it's not what I wanted, plus they're adding Multiplayer, which is going to change the game drastically. I also don't enjoy the whole idea of being a Big Daddy. Last game there was a brilliant story to go along with this game and it's looking like they know they won't be able to outbeat it and so they are going to encline on working more on the Multiplayer than the actual story.

So, in the end, I am really pumped up for Mass Effect... but, if they can somehow surprise me with Bioshock, I wouldn't be upset in the slightest. Both will be fun though.
