I'd tell him to save like these guys are saying. He'll kick himself in theass if he's not pleased with it 6 months from now.I wanted to beef up my computer little by little when I bought it 3 years ago, but decided to be patient and wait.4 days ago I unloaded 2 grand at Ibuypower. I think Ill be happy I waited.

2 grand for a pc... Bad move.

That depends on how much you make.

Great job, case looks awesome. The second picture helped a lot, the backlit cut out looks sick.

Does anyone else think it would be cool to see some older movies get made into games? Nothing rushed like the quickly turned outmovie games of today (Thor), but something with some time, effort, and polish behind it? I always thought some John Carpenter movies, like "Big Trouble in Little China" or "Escape from New York" would make for a really fun, 8-10 hour action adventure game. What old favorites do you guys think would, if done well, make really fun games?

It's like what the person said about the law of averages. A popular game comes out, everyone buys it, and plays it. More people using their ps3's is going to increase the ratio of Ps3's crapping out, regardless of what disc is in it. It's like that misleading statistic about air travel being safer than driving. Of course its safer, the ratio of people that fly compared to the number of people that drive is huge. More drivers, more wrecks. It's a machine, with parts. Nothing lasts forever.Every day you use your ps3, your one day closer to it breaking. Kind of like death.

5 minutes into the gameplay of this game and I had to shovel my jaw off the floor. My roomate walked by my room right as I said "Holy S--T" at the graphics, and he sat down next to me and watched me play for 3 hours straight. The only thing that I hate about this game is that it is going to end.

I've never seen a more thinly veiled "Check out how jacked I am" thread in my life, lol. It's called "self" esteem, not internet esteem. The little frowney face was what really pushed it over the edge into the compliment fishing pond.

Favorite modern game would be Team Fortress 2. Favorite game I took seriously for the first time was Doom. Game that first got me hooked on the idea of gaming was The Day of the Tentacle back in '93. What a cool game that was, I was totally blown away at the idea of being part of an interactive story.
