I'm going to give this one a try once I get a hold of an xbox control pad. Can't believe it's free and it looks that great. Elann2008Yeah, definitely. In order to get more than just a minimal amount of cars and tracks, you'll have to do a few microtransactions, but it isn't bad consider the base game is free. It certainly does look good. I need a racing wheel now! lol

Honestly, I haven't given the multiplayer a look at all. The menu is really hard to navigate, so I just was messing around really. Without paying for anything, the only two gamemodes are circuit and hillclimb, so that would make sense. Thanks for the suggestions on iRacing. It looks super cool, and I had never heard of it. Do you play it?[QUOTE="CityOfShips"][QUOTE="MyopicCanadian"]
I saw RaceRoom the other day.. I've been meaning to check it out, but I don't really understand exactly how the multiplayer works. Seemed to be based heavily around time trials and leaderboards, but that was only a quick first impression.
If you're interested in anything NASCAR, there's really no point in anything other than iRacing, unless you don't want to spend the money. It's so unbelievably good compared to anything else.

Not at the moment.. it's a subscription-based game and I haven't had the time to play it, but I've been thinking about getting back into it again since it's SO GOOD. The multiplayer is all hosted on company servers and it's superb. I've raced little buggies a couple inches from someone's bumper lap after lap, powersliding through the corners, and never once hit them. Can't think of another racer that has such great netcode.
There are some issues when people have crappy network connections, but they are dropped from the race if the game detects issues with the player.
That sounds like a ton of fun, I'll definitely look into itHonestly, I haven't given the multiplayer a look at all. The menu is really hard to navigate, so I just was messing around really. Hey everyone!
So, I've noticed that this year, despite us only being in the second month, is pretty slow for racing games so far. Grid 2 is coming out in a few months, so that is exciting, but there aren't many other options available.Â
The only other option, which isn't a bad one, is RaceRoom Racing Experience on Steam. It is cool because it is free to play, but it of course uses the token model to unlock more content. Not a bad model, I guess.Â
Here is a short video about the game: here
Â
What type of racing games would you like to see this year? Personally, I want another Formula 1 game, or even NASCAR haha.
Happy racing!
What is going on everybody?
About a week or so ago, I posted a video on YouTube of a cities XL Platinum let's play series I started.
The video has started to gain some traction, but I wanted to ask if you guys had any opinions?
Â
A link to the video is here

Thank you guys!
Black Ops 2 and Halo 4 are completely different games online. If you're looking for a class is run and gun type game, then Black Ops 2 is the answer. If you want a futuristic shooter where realism isn't really factored in, Halo 4 is the clear choice.
I think it most definitely could be cool, but if I'm not mistaken, smart TVs are still quite expensive. It could be great for someone who wants shows that are only offered on TV, but doesn't want full cable, but you can get a cable TV service for around the same price as the subscription Intel is proposing.
I would love to see this succeed, but I think the few major cable companies have such a strange hold over the market right now that it will be a while before we see some significant change.
Both games have their advantages and disadvantages. For instance, NFS:MW feels like Burnout Paradise and the older NFS's mixed together. This is perhaps because Criterion games made Burnout and took over this installment of NFS. Now, if you're looking for a less-realistic, more insane racing game, Burnout: Paradise is definitely the answer, but if you're looking for a more classic style racing game, then NFS is the answer. It comes down to personal preference, really.
It probably is that you're farther away from your router, which might already have weak wireless capabilities, so the distance is causing you lag.
There are tons of possiblities, like how many walls the signal is travelling through, how many people are utilizing your home network at the same time, etc.
