@alastor529: You're right about that, we should be able to talk about what we agree and disagree on. I think I just took note of the assumption that the con of not having enough female fighters is inherently a politcal statement, and stems from the reviewer not understanding the shonen genre (which would be a whole other conversation). I think it's possible that they just felt that some female characters they wanted in there weren't, and in favour of less compelling male ones. It's totally fine that you don't see that as a problem, but I also don't think it's a point of contention or some agenda being thrown at us.
@alastor529: Have you considered that the reviewer may be personally disappointed, and feels like some of their favourite female Jump characters have been snubbed, and that they're actually using a review to speak about their own preference and what they would have liked to have seen?
@darkelf83: Yes to all of that, except Frostbite! Respawn would do well to keep their games running on the modified COD engine. Not even DICE can seem to iron out the wrinkles in FB, and they made the damn thing...
@chewmcgoo: I did, but I'm not sure what you mean. I actually found the code tucked away in an email that went straight to my "promotions" folder. This wasn't made clear in the article above, nor on the Smash website. I guess I have r/smash to thank for that instead.
@aeguvas_basic: I haven't received an email either. I bought the digital version from the eShop and I'm hoping it's all done automatically, but I've checked my inbox, trash, spam, folders on my linked address and haven't seen anything. And I got the game at launch :/
Tamoor, you know we love you (well, maybe not the folks below; they seem just a toooouch bothered by you right now), but you picked the wrong hill to die on this time. Good luck with the holiday hate making it's way to your stocking this year. Yikes...
Really well produced series. While I've kind of cooled off on the OWL hype, this has been a great example of really high quality GS video content. Great work, Lucy, Tamoor, Richard and Joey!
