@CreatureRising: Except it's not reasonable at all. Nowhere else do you get paid residuals for sales milestones in acting. That shit is not kosher. And obviously it requires work. But it's not as much work as programmers, the level designers, etc, etc who basically get treated like slave labor in this industry. Meanwhile, the greedy VAs have the gall to ask for all this money? When what they do is child's play compared to a programmer? Yeah, good luck barking up that tree.

@mjc0961: Yeah, I actually loved the VA work in games like Tenchu 1. Speak for yourself. That game certainly didn't need AAA VA quality to be a classic for the ages.
@Saidrex: That's a pretty short sighted view. This is greed plain and simple. Actors should not be paid residuals after a product is released. It just doesn't work that way and never has. Actors in movies don't even get that kind of crap. All this is going to do is make development cost of video games sky rocket. God I hate this industry. Can you believe these ubiquitous VAs who have saturated video games with their voices time and time again have the gall to go on strike for even MORE money? The last thing we need is video games focusing more on "Cinematic experience" and voice acting bullcrap. that should be the least of a game quality's concern.

"Do I really have to do another of these insipid bond films after this one's finished?"
