Most people play Final Fantasy because of the characters and story, not because of the gameplay. Even so, FF has probably some of the lamest stories I've ever heard of.

Oblivion focused more on the seemless world and built around that, basically incorporating the typical saxon-styled setting like many other western RPGs. Also, Oblivion's real-time combat system probably kept people on their toes a little more than the typical JRPG combat system.

Seeing as how Oblivion seems to focus on gameplay and substance more than story, and FF does the exact opposite, I'd say Oblivion is the better game.

Mass Effect has so many new and unique features that both the gameplay and the way the story is told will be like nothing we've ever seen before.

This is exactly why Western RPGs beat the living crap out of JRPGs, because of this game right here.

I don't get what you mean by the novel. Nor about QA Personnel. But the thing about cutting their speech short is going to get mighty annoying since it basically means you can't skip dialogue without losing respect or whatever they call it.chutup

I got the sequel in an attempt to be more excited about getting the game. Chances are it'll be more entertaining to me as I progress through the game, as I'll know about certain pre-disposed themes, species, etc. Reading a book before you see the film it's made from makes the movie a little more interesting, if you know what I mean.

QA are the testers for the game. What I meant was how pretty crazy it was that none of the testers had finished the game and visited every single location within it. The game is just too big.

As for the dialogue, the developers have stated that because of the interruption feature, character dialogue will actually be kept to a smaller degree than, say, KOTOR's or Jade Empire's.

I actually suffer from a pretty advanced form of Insomnia.

Some days I don't sleep at all.

The strange part of it is, when I sleep, I sleep for a long time. There have been plenty of times where I've slept a full 24 hours.

I'm not that bad off but I do seem to have some form of Insomnia here, I often don't sleep entire nights and then sleep until 8-9PM. :|

The best thing to do is if you feel you have a clinical problem, get it diagnosed and you'll be exposed to ways of helping with it.

It can mess things up for you pretty bad later on. I've failed a handfull of classes merely because I've slept right past them during midterms or finals.

I just recently purchased the novel in an attempt to be more psyched about the game - it's working as I'd planned.

Well, I recently read up a little more on the game itself and, for the love of God, there are things that're going to be in the game that are freakin' nuts. I mean little features, like NPC actually getting annoyed when you cut their speech short. Then there's also that Gamespot feature that stated no QA personnel could visit all the locations in a single game.

How long have they been working on Mass Effect, exactly?

KOTOR won GOTY - or SOMETHING of the year.

I don't see why Mass Effect can't be considered for it.

Before Christ came it was the old testament. That is the same thing (I think) that the Jewish read. Before the New Testament, the religion was Judaism. So they did not go to hell (well I suppose people DID but not everyone).

I THINK that is right, someone tell me if I am wrong...

hoop_hard

Ok then, lets go Before the Old Testament. What happened to people who didnt believe in God then?

why are you trying to prove something wrong which you seem to know nothing about?

I am not trying to prove it wrong. Its already been proven wrong. I am just wondering what was the logic before this. If you do not know the answer then you do not have to respond but thank you.

Nothing has truly been proven wrong. Even scientists have a bit of faith, in their own theories as it seems.

Still, unless you've already studied molecular science for four years, have a Masters in biology and a nobel prize in the theory of evolution, I don't see how anyone can be so sure in their conclusions.

The logic before The Old Testament is unknown, it dates too far back for enough conclusive evidence. There is only so much hieroglyphs can tell us.

PGR4's look like they're lit with Global Illumination..... just beautiful.
