@Tekarukite You're still talking about a device that will still cost around $500.00 dollars or more, a device that will have nothing on it except Steam OS which is a gaming platform. More and more people are buying tablets because they are now production devices instead of consumer devices. The difference being with a production device, there are a variety of services and products available for professional and personal work. A consumer device provides only media that can be consumed as entertainment such as TV, movies, games. I can't see anyone who wants to get a PC opting for a Steambox instead. They might get a laptop or a tablet.
Couch gamers might buy it, but then again, why would someone who already has a console fork up the same amount of money for what is essentially another console type product. I could see maybe someone giving up the Xbox or Playstation for a Steambox. It's very unlikely that they will buy both though, as there are two types of gamers in regards in regards to PC. There's the console gamer who also happens to play PC games, in which case he already has a PC of his own as well as a console. Then there is the gamer that is console exclusive, in which case he won't even care about a Steambox.
I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Apple is the corporate wolf. They would strangle the competition with their cold lifeless shiny hands if they could.
What is it about Microsoft that just screams "insecurities". The first few times that they said they are turning the ship and doing well, I agreed, but now they are are just overdoing it and it sounds desperate. "We're winning, can't you see. You have to see." Yes, yes. I see, now shut the **** up and give us appropriate commercials about games instead of how you can better watch football games.
Well if I could make the same game year after year, with a little twist here and there and label it as brand new, I would too. Especially with so many Lemmings buying it no matter what.
Yep, I am building my hardcore commando unit and we are all training using GTA V exclusively. We'll be the most hardened vet by next month. No police force on earth will be able to stop us. We'll be able to drive any vehicles. A Tank, check. A jetliner, check. A jet, check. A ufo, check. We'll have the endurance of our mightiest game character. We'll run non stop, not have to eat anything, our aim will be so automatic that we'll hit just about anything whether we are jumping or running or driving any one of our outrageous vehicles. Heck, we'll be able to do it while wearing only our underwear.
@StHapns247 Well good for you, but I don't know that many people would be willing to spend an extra 200.00 on accessories just to capture video game play.
