13 is good for Doom or a shooter, actually thats pretty damn good. Still whenever a Dev says this amount of hours its usually half that imo, so 5 or 6 which is still reasonable for a shooter.
I'm not surprised Skylanders and Guitar Hero under performed
For Guitar Hero and Rock band as well i think the music genre is pretty much still dead. Rock Band at least let people use their old DLC but i don't think people were interested in learning a new guitar and new game. The game was kind of fun though, at least the demo.
Skylanders i heard was the weakest Skylanders game to date, and the vehicles, people just didn't dig collecting them compared to the more interesting characters or giants. I thought the giants and swap force gimmicks were cool. Trap Team and Vehicles seem lame. Then you have Disney Infinity releasing Star Wars content on the heels of a new Star Wars movie. Finally Lego Dimensions has the Lego branding and is just a great game. No wonder Skylanders is struggling when the other two are doing so well.
I do feel for the people laid off, that really sucks.
At least they are giving some time before the price hike. I am gonna pick it up the Pass for 30 bucks then. Really excited about Far Harbor though because i have actually been to Bar Harbor Maine. Very cool place.
I still have the physical wii disc for this so no need to buy it. Still this game has been ported so many times, i wonder why its not on PS4/XB1 at this point.
I picked up Bounty Hunter, really liked that game. I never liked Jedi Star Fighter that much and Racer Revenge was complete crap compared to Episode 1 Racer.
effing finally! I went on a Metroid binge in summer 2014 playing them for the first time. Played Prime, Super Metroid, Fusion and Metriod 2. I even played AM2R. I thought it was really lame Zero Mission was the only 2D Metroid not on any of the Eshops. Guess i will have to hook my Wii U up again.
Dragons Dogma really surprised me. Sure it had its flaws like a weak story and characters but the flexible class system and amazing combat more than made up for it. I can't think of a game that did giant monster battles as good as Dragons Dogma. Shadow of the Colossus is probably close but those were more living puzzles.
I would love to see a sequel. Glad to hear its not ruled out.
