I basically on the fence with it meaning I don't hate it or like it really. I enjoyed for the most part the WCW New Blood angle because it offered fresh matchup ideas and made the TV at the time more interesting (for WCW that's not saying much though.) I think as long as egos do not get involved in the creative process (ie. Hogan vs Kidman) , I think it will be a decent angle for TNA to pursue.

On the flip side though, they need to do a lot less talking and lots more wrestling on Impact. 20 minute promos will not allow people like Samoa Joe to stay over for too much longer.

[QUOTE="mrgab"]Maybe listen to what Sting is saying and join with him.Link256

Considering the fact he has never been given to chance to be a main event player, or be a world champion, it would seem to me it would make lot more sense for him to join "new blood" side, than it would be for him to joins the "veterans."

I think they could pull it off though. Daniels has been in the biz for at least 10 years and perhaps he could be the guy who "always followed the rules of the locker room" like Sting suggested but he never got a push because young punks like Joe and AJ were taking his spots.

Just a thought at least. I'd love to see this happen just because it would mean more AJ/Daniels and Daniels/Joe matches.

For me it just comes down to accessability. It's really to just set TNA and WWE on my DVR to keep up with it every week. Also, around where I live, its hard to find and wrestling DVD's at all (hell, I'm lucky to find even TNA DVD's at my local best buy.) Another thing is that while I'd more than love to get into ROH, I don't even know which DVD's to purchase and I just haven't had the gumption to look into which shows are good and which ones are not. So basically if any wrestling promotion on the indy level had a show on cable, I would at least watch the first few shows (I even gave WSX the chance...I even watch AWA's horrible 90's show on ESPNC!)

SO in a nutshell, its not that I don't like the indy circuit, I just really don't know where to begin.

If anyone can explain to me where any of the makes sense, please do so, because my brain explodes thinking about it.

The_Dude14

I don't think it made much sense to begin with. I basically remember the stuff you described just like you posted it. If I remember right the reason Backlund feuded with Lawler was because Backlund was joking about running for president of the United States and Lawler stepped up (I think) and said it would be terrible. After some arguing and a crossface chickenwing later I believe WWF declared that Backlund lost his mind and let him go...just to hire Ultimate Warrior again in 1996!

Speaking of Warrior, there's my #1 pick for someone who never should have held a belt.

Also, I kind of agree with JBL as being a crappy champion. At the time talent on Raw like Jericho and Christian were put in a joke tag team together while freakin Eddie Guerrerro should have stayed champ on SD! Any of those guys would have made better champs than JBL at the time. All I know is I'll really never forgive WWE for ending Eddie's one title reign in such stupid fashion.

Seems like it's almost been too long since many of the companies have given anyone a decent push. Here are a few that have got my attention

  • The Brian Kendrick - This is probably one of my favorite pushes I've seen in a while. I feel it was a great transition from going to London's tag partner to upper card heel. Also the fact that JR compares him to HBK and Pillman isn't hurting him either.
  • Vladmir Koslov - At first I thought I was going to hate this guy, especially when he had that "I love double-double-ee" gimmick on Raw. Good buildup as a monster heel IMO.
  • Lance Cade - I always thought he's been a decent wrestler, but I really disliked him when he was in that cowboy team with Murdock. Nice to see him get the win over HBK on Monday.

Getting my tickets soon and can't wait. Just thinking of sign ideas right now. Thinking of taking a giant DOOMSDAY sign since there'll be 8 people in my section. I'll probably throw in a "Bring Back the Fallen Angel" sign in there as well.

[QUOTE="CWood"]Don't get your hopes up, I just looked at it on my comcast tv listing and it said it was a 1 hour highlight special. Hope they are wrong about that since its not like MyNetwork has anything better to air anyway.VanDerSar01
Plus iMPACT! is on at the same time too?

I looked at the listing on my cable guide again. Wrestlemania airs for 1 hour from 8pm - 9pm where as Impact starts at 9. So it doens't look like a head to head will happen unless plans change.

WWE: I've watched it pretty much all of my life. SOme of my first memories are of staying up Saturday nights and hoping NBC would air Saturday Night's Main Event. However, once WWE made the switch to Raw, I was without a way to watch quality WWE stuff (since Superstars wasn't their "A" show after that. Got cable though in 1995 and have maybe missed 1-2 Raw's since then.

WCW: Got cable in late 1995 and watched it rarely until I watched the Nitro where Hall walked out. After that, I watched most of the Nitro shows until the end of WCW in 2001.

ECW: Rarely caught the show as it was on Friday nights on TNN and I played high school football...which holds its games Friday nights. So I've probably watched more ECW content after the company went under than I did when it was doing buisness unfortunately.

TNA: Caught a few matches online in 2003 (ie. Ladder Match with AJ vs Low Ki vs Jerry Lynn) and was pretty much hooked after that. I think I've seen every Impact airing including the FSN episodes.

ROH: Only seen a few matches online (which were great) but I really have no outlet I watch it on. Think I've only seen some of the 2005 stuff.

WSX: Saw every episode and am not ashamed of it. :P

Personally, I think Jericho is the best handled wrestler in the WWE right now. His character was becoming a joke and they fixed it pretty well over time and his feud with Michaels has probably been the best feud anywhere all year. There aren't too many reasons why I still watch WWE programming, but he's one of them.
