Edit: Totally forgot the Iron Man sequels. Bleh.

The writer asks why the game has so many classic Avengers instead of focusing on the newer/ lesser-known characters. The answer is because people actually like and want to play as those classic characters. The “expanded roster” characters are mostly there to placate games journalists.
