I know I will not be getting it, at least not until it drops down to the $10 range. I've heard of most of the game being DLC (MX vs ATV Alive anyone?) but, if I read correctly, that game still had plenty included where DLC was not a MUST. Three tracks and five cars? That sounds awfully low to me. I know my standards have raised from old racing games that only had a few tracks and vehicles, but considering racing games in this day and age I do believe my standards are justified.
I have played a few Ridge Racer games and had a lot of fun, but one with so little content and still selling for $30 is not something I find to be a worthwhile purchase.
Like a few others here in the thread, I too only read articles about the level cap, but no mention of the game not allowing you to play after reaching that cap. Considering the speed of my internet (takes me about an hour per gig :P) and my interest in the Killzone multiplayer, it is nice to have some clarification that the articles I read were misleading.
I wasn't originally going to post this, but seeing all the hate toward the TC for pointing this out is rather surprising. Especially seeing I too was under the impression that I could play the multiplayer as long as I could deal with the level cap. Would I have figured this out if I were to download/do more research on the trial? Of course! But due to my limited interest in the game, it's not high on my priority list and reading the details on a thread as opposed to finding that out when I'm at the point where I want to play is something I can appreciate.
[QUOTE="BradHummr"]You can also reload by tapping the down arrow on the Dpad. ;)Kaze_no_MiraiOh really? I must've missed that when they where explaining the reloading. :P Has anyone managed to get all the artifacts and complete all the mysteries? There's quite a bit
If you're like me you were so excited to play instead of look at the control tutorial pictures that you closed them after only reading a small portion! THing is, I'm an OCD reloader (man, I'd be a terrible soldier in real life.) so knowing where the reload button is is one of my top priorities upon starting any game with a gun. :P
I have read somewhere (Maybe PS3trophies.com? I forget) that someone has already platinumed it (and they're probably not the only ones). I haven't personally however, haven't even beat the game once yet. Dang buy 2 get 1 free game deals...even after I do finish the campaign I probably won't do trophy mop-up due to other things to play!
It's a fantastic game and I'm really enjoying it. The only minor problem I personally have is reloading by tapping the corner of the screen. They motion control aiming is fantastic. Reminds me a lot of RE Revaltions gyro aiming.Kaze_no_MiraiYou can also reload by tapping the down arrow on the Dpad. ;)
[QUOTE="guitarist4292"][QUOTE="Twisted14"]Same thing happens when you move the 3DS top screen to close a bit and then flip it back open. Whatever is on the screen jumps. It just senses movements like that. It's just a small animation but it's cool.Twisted14I'm pretty sure it's just the mic. Icons jump or spin or react somehow to sound. Because the mic is embedded in the device, anything that causes a vibration in the frame, such as the hinge clicking into place or removing or replace the stylus (which also clicks into place) will be picked up strongly by the mic. Ah yeah that makes sense. Indeed it does! Wow I feel sort of stupid now. :P

So apparently being far too involved in what was on my 3DS one day, I removed the stylus and...what was that? I replaced the stylus, something else! I took it out, replaced it, getting the same results.
"Hmmm..." I wondered. "Must be the gyro sensor."I gave my 3DS a little shake, then a bigger shake. Nothing.
Has anyone else noticed, (This works with every game and application I've tried) that when you remove the stylus, something happens to the picture/animation on the top screen and when you put the stylus back in, usually the same thing will happen, just to a greater extent? This of course needs to be done at the 3DS's home menu, simply hover over anything and remove/insert the stylus as you like.
I found this rather intriguing for several reasons. First, I have never seen this described anywhere, in the manual nor online...is it a scrapped idea? Is it simply an easter egg sort of thing? Secondly, it doesn't seem to serve any purpose! Obviously it has amused me, so if that is the purpose then...SUCCESS! However, on a business side of things, I can't help but wonder if a sensor when the stylus is in or out is worth what it cost to design and implement.
What do you think Gamespotters? Have I misunderstood the meaning for this? Is it for some purpose I am overlooking for some reason?

Also happens if you blow into the mic :P No clue why, I think its neat though haha
Ah, I was not aware of that. Thanks for pointing it out!
