It's no big secret why. They don't reveal them because they are always embarrassing next to their competition's numbers.

Can't really blame them. Why step on a rake and get smacked in the face if you don't have to?

@jj__garcia:

I think there is some truth to this. The MCU has managed to impress repeatedly by taking lower tier characters and making them stars. (Guardians of the Galaxy springs to mind.)

But there are limits to how deep you can mine before...there is a reason that they were lower tier characters in the comic book days. The Eternals, for example, were never really all that popular no matter how hard they were pushed in the comics.

EA CEO Says Microsoft and Activision Blizzard Deal Is Great For Gaming

And, thus, did everyone in the universe realize it is a terrible deal for gamers simultaneously.

If EA says something is good, then you know it is awful. It's been a locked in golden rule for decades now.

Yay merger!

Just slapping the words "Elder Scrolls" on a game does not actually make it a real Elder Scrolls game.

A castle management simulator game is not an Elder Scrolls game.

And then he looked at the game lineup. As it has been for something like three decades in a row: the system that has the best games has the best product.

Sometimes that has been Sony. Sometimes it has been Nintendo. It's even been Microsoft once or twice....but usually not. "We have sports, and COD and TV!"

But, it is the nature of the beast. These things are cyclical. Microsoft sure is pushing and investing heavily on improving their game lineup. We'll see.

When I read that it was going back to where it all began, I assumed it was shoving in more unneeded and unwanted microtransactions.

@stunningham:

Given that it will probably come out not that long before Sony and Microsoft release their newest hardware, probably closer to consider it 1.5-2 generations behind power wise.

I am shocked, SHOCKED I SAY! that the former EA CEO John Riccitiello would do something greedy, underhanded and predatory.

The more things change, the more they remain the same.

I dunno. Anybody who buys Gearbox acquires Randy Pitchford in the deal, which is the very definition of a turd in the proverbial punch bowl.
