Still not fixed, and still not even acknowledged.

I have the same issue, but only when I am logged in. When I come here and scroll before logging in, I see recent content.
But is there any chance at all that the autoplay video discussion has shifted in any meaningful way in the years that people (including me) have complained about it?
There are many - MANY - things that people can complain about concerning the site. But this is literally the worst thing. And incredibly easy to fix. It doesn't need to be looked into or anything like that. It could be fixed tomorrow.
I think I'd respect the site more if they just said "We're doing this for the ad revenue and don't give a crap about how incredibly annoying it is. We need that revenue and we're going to keep doing it."
Own it please?
Any news on this? I literally only signed up for the site to see if this bullshit has been changed.
It has not.
This is the fifth thread of the same topic on the first page of the feedback forum asking Gamespot to deal with the issue of autoplay videos. This one's only a year old so it's relatively new.
Thanks so much, I totally understand your frustration. We are looking into ways to address this but it may take some time to get it implemented. Sorry this answer is not much of an answer. We really appreciate your patience in this and are making moves to address your concerns.
While I appreciate the fact that someone from Gamespot actually responded on this issue about a half a year back. This is the fourth thread I've found on the front page of the site about autoplay videos with no option to toggle them off.
It's an issue that goes back nearly three years at this point. The idea that it's just taking time to be implemented basically sounds like horseshit at this point if you'll forgive the vulgarity. GS has been given time. Autoplay videos are still a thing regardless of innumerable complaints on the subject.
There sure seems to be a lot of these threads giving feedback about the same topic doesn't there?
Edit: This is not a dig against the thread creator. It's a dig against the lack of response to the complaint.
