What depth?

The Witcher rocks, simply put. It's a true PC RPG, not a lousy consolized game, and a true RPG overall. It beats the crap out of Oblivion at everything. Not to mention it's based on a cycle of fantasy books, bestsellers in Europe. And it's a lot different from the usual RPG, mainly because it's based on slavic mythology (the bestiary that is). You've got original monsters, items, settings. You have a true world - racism, violence, sex, and a crapload of irony towards the real world. The main character is plain awesome. The story is a delight. And you actually pay the consequences for your actions. It's awesome.

Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.

It's the very definition of action adventure, and a little RPG. A LITTLE.

Flatout 2 has awesome graphics, physics, cars and tracks. It takes a bit to get used to the car, but don't worry - it's a far cry from the horrendous control in Most Wanted. Oh, and the graphics and physics are MUCH BETTER and it's a very, I mean VERY good optimised game. You have a lot of game types and mini-games (including bowling!), and the main career is nice.

You get the bow after 4 or 5 hours.

Someone moaned about the controls on the Xbox. Well gues what: those context-sensitive commands work flawless for me on the PC. I don't know about the console, but on the PC, when I press spacebar to prepare my action, I see a little icon that tells me what button to press to to action X. So it works like a charm. The controls are very simple.

Save's Nuclear Snow, but only the second time you play it, because it changes the look VERY MUCH. Basically it looks like Sin City with it.

And if you dig deep, you'll find a "Stalker - Custom Edition" somewhere, floating around... It's a custom edition with a few dozen mods installed and over 2500 textures reworked, improved parallax and bump mapping etc. No, it's not official:P

The first hour or so is easy, it's supposed to make you feel comfortable with the controls.

Then, it becomes awesome.

The cover system is great. The guns are great (espacially the one with the chainsaw). Active reload never gets old. The Kryll are a welcome addition - play it more to see for youself. The boss battles are fun. The level design is very good (with stunning scenery later), the pace is good, checkpoints are never frustrating. The characters are very likeable, with awesome dialogue. The enemies are interesting, especially later on. The cutscenes are pure genius, and they actually make you care for the people and hate the monsters:evil:

This is not a game for the fast and furious ones, it's more tactical, slower paced then other 3rd person shooters. If you don't like the shooting mechanic though... Well, I guess it's not a game for you.

That's my oppinion, I love moving from cover to cover and feeling like a badass in an action movie.

Cheers:)
