It would be slow and tactical, like a cat-and-mouse game...

... but adding a portal gun/class in another mp game (I don't know why, but I think Quake Wars could use it) would rock.

At least in strategy games you have skirmish mode... Which in some (like DOW and especially Universe at War) is much better and with lot more options and freedom on how to play it than in the campaigns.

In shooters, if the sp is short, but good, I don't mind it. COD4 is extremely short, but awesome too, and I feel it's perfect like that. On the other hand, I hate it that Crysis is so short. 3 more levels of jungle, and it would have been perfect. Timeshift could have used some more urban fighting.

I'm pissed that if they have the means to do the game longer, with more variety and overall better, they don't do it. It's ok if they update it later - like Relic is releasing a crapload of expansions, but if not... What happened with HL2: Episode 1 is outrageous!

Flatout 2. Your computer will max it out, it looks fantastic, better than the last NFS, even the physics are better than in NFS. Flatout 2 is madness! The only problem will be to get used to the controls, they are pretty sensitive, but in maximum 1/2 hour you'll get used. You have a campaign (some sort of championship), earn money and customize cars. And you have a lot of racing types and even minigames, just for fun, like bowling, all accomplished with your car!

Need For Speed Carbon would be the other real choice. It has better controls and you manage a team, but no realism, physics, destruction, the graphics are pretty, but not as in Flatout 2, it has less game modes, the story blows, and it becomes kinda boring. It's more relaxing; Flatout 2 is more challenging (in the championship), but more rewarding too.

The original concept of Prey, in 1998, had some devices that you could place anywhere to create portals. They presented them, along with destructible environment, you can find the movies on Google Video. The final concept was static, the portals were fixed.

Both Rise Of Nations are great.

Warhammer: Mark of Chaos is interesting too, it's basically Total War with orcs.

They'd better make a new Republic Commando. Back in those everyone was talking about a sequel:| That game was awesome...

HL2 and Quake 4. HL2 Lost Coast too. The new Timeshift demo was awesome, but I dunno if you can play that one. The Sam & Max demos are fun, and Abe Lincoln Must Die is entirely free. Overlord demo kicks ass. Infernal is OK, the demo has some nice action. Flatout 2 rocks.

Yes, I play it again.

After you finish it you unlock arcade mode, in which you earn points for killing dudes. It sucks.

I play it again because you have laptops in every level, and by collecting them you unlock funny cheats. I didn't figured this out the first time, so now I'm searching them.

And some levels are very cool, they are worth playing again. But no more than two times.

I like GOW better, and I'm sure I'll play it again many, many times. It's awesome, just awesome. Literally kicks ass.
