@Feedbackula Agree with QTE remark, but Castlevania needed a kick in the ass after all those lazy sequels post Dawn of Sorrow. The "Castletroid" formula was growing stale and Konami heads saw that so they decided some change was needed

@hadlee73 I really really doubt you even played the game, and you are just calling it "junk" based on a review. Mirror of Fate is FAR from junk, and if you were to read most of the reviews out there about it you would see this consensus. But more importantly, why don't you at least try it

@00LiteYear @DarthLod They're not necessary. If all you're going to do when the user fails one is to reload the same scene and try again, why not just show it as a normal cutscene instead. Or at least do like Shenmue where you're allowed a few missteps before failing the scene altogether

@dancho9733 LoS sold more than any of IGA's Castletroids.

@eilegz LoS was a gorgeous game; you're just trolling. Consequently when the 3D is turned on, so is Mirror of Fate

@StSk8ter29 The second screen of MoF is just used for inventory and the map, and is quite helpful with that. There is no need to worry about it for much of the game unless you need to check on move combos and mark things on the map

@mininudu That would be Belmont's Revenge :P. Also I thought Dawn of Sorrow was better than Ecclesia

@WolfGrey It's a sequel to LoS so if you didn't like that this probably won't change your mind.

@alenth Depends how much the player decides to backtrack for the optional upgrades. In my opinion though part of the fun of finding the upgrades is finding the hidden spots where they lie. The journey is more rewarding than the destination in terms of the secrets. Honestly some of these secret areas could be straight from Metroid, and I felt like some of the environments are perfect for the Morphball.

I also recommend playing it on Hard mode if you're an experienced LoS player.

@zyxahn Metacritic is a better way to get an idea of the overall quality of the game. I believe I read through every one of the 15 first reviews for the game, and the consensus is that it's a good but not great game. Having played up to Alucard's part I can give a B. There are some pacing problems and I really do tire of the QTEs (although the crankshaft ones feel natural enough)
