Reboot? For what reason? PoP 2008 was the perfect idea for a reboot. Just make the second one a lot more challenging, and don't make me collect so many goddamn orbs. Everything else about is great.
Ah, yes, in this capitalistic society, success is measured by how many dollars you rake in. Not to imply that McCartney isn't talented or that he can't write good music, but I sort of feel that there's someone out there who's poor as hell, that can write better music than him. You don't need a big name to display extraordinary talent. Sorry, but this just comes off as more of a marketing ploy than anything. "McCartney makes the music? Oh, I gotta get the game." That will probably ring through a lot of heads.
That's only one problem with the industry, out of many others. I think the biggest problems with games is that they're starting to become like interactive movies, and Quantic Dream's games are a pretty good example of that. Another one being Max Payne 3 (don't get me wrong, I still like it), which hijacks the game from you. I want games, not movies! Look at Half-Life 2 for an example of how things should be done. You don't need to take away from the game play with endless cut scenes. It can all be built into the game itself. Not only is it more immerse, it's also far less annoying.
There's nothing to understand. People have different tastes. It's that simple. There's a ton of games that I don't like, but you don't see me saying they never were great games.
