Valve has taken the head of the push toward DD gaming. It'll be interesting to see how they fare as a company as more and more of the market move to DD.

considering how well they run steam I think they will do just fine. Only a company like amazon or google could set up something that will take people away through advertising and competitive prices.

I pay them for a GAME not something that has nothing but Gimmie Win MiniGames.
yeah they could have cheaply funded projects come out good, i guess it comes down to time and resources a great game like amnesia will take longer to make than a mini party game.

why do people bring up shovelware as a bad thing? if a large publisher can put out a few cheap and bad games, then they will gain some money to put towards bigger and better projects. i would much rather have a cheaply made bad game on the shelf than a expensively made bad game, as that is likely to affect other projects and may stop them creating new IPs, and go for safer games. it's not like anyone who knows about gaming will buy these games.
