I find that I don't actually have an issue with criticizing a game for its political shortcomings, but seeing as one would like to be a well rounded and professional critic, if one wants to criticize a game for political implications, it must be for all of its political implications and not only for the ones that just are most important to the reviewer. In this case, viewing the game as sexist, and then not pointing out the rest of its over the top portrayals of psychopaths, southern North Americans, etc. seems unfair when reviewing a game as a whole. It is important to remember that this review is a bit more than just a personal opinion, and it actually should highlight topics and issues about the game as a whole and not just from a single person's point of view.
I understand that these critic reviews should not be critiqued themselves because it is the honest opinion of a reviewer and not a straight up rating of the value of a game experience, but, a 7? I just don't get that thought process.
Its funny because the same type of combat of combos and dodging was praised in the Batman Arkham series yet here its called "predictable and limited". Well, watevs.
Get it on the humble indie bundle. I bought it along with 5 other legit indie games for 6 bucks. This game aint much, but its definitely worth a buck or two. I sea no problem if you get it that way. Otherwise, 10 bucks is kinda a waste of money for this game.
