Whether you're a fan of the series or not, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands will entertain you.

User Rating: 8.5 | Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands PS3
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is the second Prince of Persia game to debut on the PS3, which goes back to the basics of the Prince of Persia franchise. You're put in control of The Prince who, while visiting his older brother Malik, walks right into a invasion of Malik's kingdom and finds himself trying to help Malik save his kingdom not only from the invaders but a evil Djinn, Ratash. The Prince not only has his own skills to rely on but also the borrowed powers of Razia, a Djinn.

The Prince only has his sword and acrobatic flair at the start of his adventure. But as The Prince fights enemies and earns enough gold orbs, experience points, he can purchase health and magic increases, magical abilities and upgrades to help him on his adventure. The Prince can also find gold orbs by destroying sarcophagi located throughtout the game. During certain points in the game, The Prince is granted a few powers of the Djinn by Razia that lets The Prince manipulate certain aspects of nature such as water, time, etc.

Guiding The Prince throughout his journey to save Malik's kingdom and stop Ratash is easy due to responsive and smooth controls. The musical score that suits any situation The Prince may find himself in. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sand's visuals, despite being a bit dated, are specatular.

Despite being on the short side, mostly doing tricky jumps, having a handful of puzzles and a little slow at times, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is a fun game to play. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a good action game with a witty protagonist or just fun games in general.
