Great add to the series but badly lacking in parts

User Rating: 7.5 | Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands PS3
As we all know Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, is a mid sequel to the Sands of Time series. In this game you once again play as the time bending prince, who after the first game ( Sands of Time) has set off to his older brothers kingdom by his father's request, only to find it being invaded ( surprise surprise), after a long winded in story tutorial and some witty banter from the prince while no one's around, you finally catch up to the prince's brother and head off to the treasury where Malik, the prince's brother, its trying release the legendary sand army of King Solomon, only to find out that the army is actually evil and starts to turn all of prince Malik's men to stone, leaving the prince and his brother trying to find a way to seal away the evil army. The forgotten sands does the series some justice with a good story line that sits well with its perverse games and great game play and puzzle platforming that the series know for, the only thing that lets it down is the combat, yes you do fight a small room full of sand zombie warriors, but most of enemies you face can be easily dodged or kicked to the ground and finished off before they even get a chance to attack, then there's the elemental combat powers which are hardly needed, I found myself only using the Whirlwind power for getting myself out of a pinch or quickly clearing a room of enemies, just because the enemies are so easy. All and all POPFS is a good 3d platform with tricky thought out trap and puzzles to solve, but felt like it was rushed with its combat side. If had given enough time im sure Ubisoft would have made it something to remember.
