This is a personal review. It is not professional. I'll talk about the areas in the game that stood out or caught my attention.
REVIEW: -
I just got this game and started playing it, so I'll just highlight a few things below.
Good - The graphics are very good. It runs smoothly at 1080p 60fps. The audio/music is good too. It's mostly made up of regular hip-hop songs you'll recognize.
Bad - The main thing that takes away from the game are the controls - they are the worst of the worst! The game works extremely poorly with third party controllers. The keyboard controls are equally terrible. My analog sticks/d-pad were not working in the game so i could not move my player; the mouse/keyboard weren't either . I was able to fix this issue by configuring my controller outside the game with an Xbox controller software. The process was just too tedious. it's a shame these companies are unable to perform such functions. Other games do not have this problem. This is the first game I've encountered with this problem. In addition, the controls are different from NBA 2K13, meaning you'll have to learn everything from the beginning again.
Another inconvenience is the mandatory online registration form that pops up in the beginning of the game. To bypass it, i learnt you'll have to disagree with their terms and conditions. Took me two day on the internet to figure it out. I mean what happened to the days where you just bought a game, loaded it and went straight into the action? All these online requirements are absurd because not everyone in the world has access to the internet (at home or high speed). It should be a secondary feature not mandatory because the majority of games played are played offline.
