This is a game worth playing for those that like open ended Role Playing Games.

User Rating: 8.5 | Mount & Blade PC
Mount & Blade is an open ended role playing game that can be addicting-ly fun at times. This game takes place in a land that is divided among 5 Rivaling Kingdoms; The Kingdoms of Swadia, Vaegirs, Khanate, Nords, and the Rhodoks. You start out in this warring land as a lonesome adventurer and depending how you progress through the game, you can become the one and only ruler. Mount & Blade brings an interesting and involving combat system to the table. Unlike in most games where it's simply block and swing, in Mount & Blade you have to consider things like which direction should I swing from and where will my enemy try to counter from. You can attack from 4 directions, all of which can simply be control with the movement of the mouse, like a powerful swing from the right, a swift back swing from the left, a smashing blow from above, or a simple trust forward from the chest. With the 4 attacks you can block them in the same way that one would attack, just with the other mouse click. Along with this, Mount & Blade has adjustable difficulty settings; from how many men can partake in one battle to the damage taken by you per hit. When running on a computer with an ok graphics card, Mount & Blade doesn't look half bad. Although fun, there are some things about Mount & Blade that can be annoying. Usually quest to help improve your relationship with someone or a village can be pretty boring. Also it takes a long time to be able to build an army strong enough to take on a castle, let alone a city. There can also be times where there is nothing to do because there are no tournaments or because your enemy is too strong to attack at the moment. No matter how good a game is, it doesn't come without its glitches. Mount & Blade occasionally suffers some from glitches like a missing animation or a weapon hit not registering. But regardless Mount & Blade is a fun open ended RGP where you are not bounded by a story line or forced to be with a certain group and although could it use some improvement, it is a game worth playing.
