Metal Gear as a strategy-RPG

User Rating: 8.3 | Metal Gear Acid 2 PSP
This was the first game I bought for my PSP, as I could pick any new-launch title to go with my PSP purchase. I didn't know what to expect as I didn't read any reviews prior to my purchase. But what I got was an amazing game title! The loading times aren't very long and the graphics are amazing. They're cell-shaded versions of the usual MGS universe and look superb on your PSP LCD screen. The gameplay is innovative as it mixes the infiltration-tacticts with classic turn based RPG elements. You have to build a set of card which you'll obtain during your missions, and depending on what kind of gamer you are these can be very different. You can build sneak-decks or equip as many offensive weapon cards as possible to shoot every thing in your way.
I've been playing for about 20 hours now and I have only unlocked 20% of the available cards (500+ in total).

It's real fun to collect all of the cards as some character cards go with a special cut scene that'll bring back good memories of the old games.
The overall presentation is great, even though some voice over acting might've been a nice addiction to the game. But for a PSP game, this'll satisfy your needs fully...untill metal gear solid: ops comes along of course!
