Just another Megaman X game that changes a little bit from Megaman X4.

User Rating: 6 | RockMan X5 (PlayStation the Best) PS
Megaman X5 isn't much different from Megaman X4. There are one or two new things put into this game but nothing all that special. This game is about the same as the last one which isn't doing anything for it.

Gameplay, 7. When you start a new save you can choose to either play as Megaman X, Zero, or the improved version of Megaman X with all the upgrades to make things easier on yourself. Whoever you choose it doesn't matter because you can be whoever you want throughout the game which is a plus if you're having a hard time in a level with a certain character. If you want the Falcoln version of X then pick it when you start a new game because if you don't then you won't have it the rest of the game. You have to get to the end of each level and beat that level's boss. In this one you have to be careful on how much you quit in the middle of a level because you only have like 16 hours and each one goes by when you beat a level or quit it.
The game plays decent. There is plenty of challenges in this game to keep you trying for a while. The game plays exactly the same as Megaman X4 so there isn't really anything bad about it.

Graphics, 5. These kind of graphics this late in the Playstation's life cycle aren't very impressive. Especially since they're only a little improved from the last game and that one came out in 1997, not 2001.

Sound, 6. The music isn't really special, not bad not good. There isn't any voice acting in this one so all there is is the music and sound effects.

Value, 6. This game shouldn't take too long to beat but since there are pieces of armor to get in this game to find you might have something to do after beating this game and you could try beating it on hard.

Difficulty, Just Right. Unlike Megaman X4 you can choose what difficulty to have it one so that's nice to have. The game is challenging depending on what difficulty you have it one.

Tilt, 6. This game is all right I guess. If you like the Megaman series then you should have no problem with this game, but if you're not a fan of this series and you didn't particulary care for Megaman X4 then you might just want to pass on this one.
