Classic Mega Man style for old and new players alike.

Boy this game brought back memories of playing two-button Mega Man 2 on the NES when I was a kid. I loved this game for its simplicity. That's not to say the game becomes dull after playing it for awhile. Like classic Mega Man, the game is addicting and keeps you playing with the hope that you will find the weakness of each boss. Thus, you will spend a lot of enjoyable time trying to figure out how to approach each boss battle, with what weapons, what tactic, etc...

Because each boss is weak against another boss' weapon, you have to find out which boss is weak against which weapon. The player must defeat the first boss armed with only a blaster and then take the newly found weapon and find out which boss is weak against the new weapon.

This is classic Mega Man at its core and makes for a very enjoyable experience. It's very satisfying to beat the tough bosses once you figure out their weakness and you'll be smiling from ear to ear seeing just how powerful the little blue robot boy becomes after each boss battle. The game keeps you hooked from beginning to end and that is something that is indicative of a good game. Maverick Hunter X is a must buy because it packs a ton of gameplay value in an enjoyable package that meshes perfectly with the portability of the PSP. You won't be disappointed.
